Our 2nd rounder is the 34th overall pick. We flip flop with the Chargers and this year's 1st round is 31 picks.

Our picks right now without comp picks factored in are 4, 34, 67, 98, 175

A lot of talent in the top 3 rounds, even some good guys in the 4th.

This draft is deep. Its especially important to be active in FA so we can take the best players at our premium picks in this draft.

If Rankins is there in the 2nd I'm taking him, and Miller in the 3rd.

A Wentz/Goff, Rankins, Braxton, and Eric Murray/Kevin Peterson draft would be a great haul with the first 4 picks. Sign a LB, CB, DT, and RB in FA and you just set yourself up pretty nicely.

I think Rankins and Braxton both rise though. Rankins is probably going to be one of the first DT selected. Braxton is proving that he's actually not a project. Why'd they have to go out there and impress everyone?

LB Jack
DT Rankin
SS Cravens
DB Canaday
QB Jones

Using the guidelines set. Not taking into account what FA would fill

What's it going to be then, eh?

Blame our staff for showcasing him in practices. They could have just buried him, but instead they are running reverses with him and having him try out punt returns.

I've done a 180 on the QB thing. So with that in mind, I'll do it like Brain did.

1st - Goff, Wentz or Jack
2nd - W. Fuller, K. Fuller, Rankins
3rd - Washington, Booker, Joseph
4th - Canady, Prosise, Hargrave
Comp - Neal, Kearse, Adams

I hardly think you can criticize our coaching staff for doing their jobs and showcasing these players. They're not there to bury prospects in case we can draft them.

Besides, how can you properly evaluate a player if you don't see what they can do?

Yes, as NE's 1st round pick was deflated and they don't get one.
I seen somewhere though we have the 171st pick. but I could not confirm that. Maybe we did, but the trade with the Raiders gives us the 175th?

Yeah, the 175th pick was originally the Raiders'. Our own 6th round pick goes to the 49ers for stealing Geoff Swaim last year.

Yes, a player they could have just drafted, and kept the draft pick. And then they could have got Gibson as an UDFA, only to release him and cost nothing.

The first name listed on each round would be a great draft......

Number 137, Caleb Jones is the son of former Cowboys first round pick Robert Jones.....

Thanks, I did not know that. Wonder if he has been burning up JJ's phone.
