DENNIS,ANYONE?

---At Cowboys mini-camp this past week, I found TONY ROMO to be relaxed, playful, insightful, committed, more accountable, considerably less guarded, and most importantly, more serious about his role as the potential top leader on the team.

---Man, it was good to see RICH BEHM out at mini-camp practices this past week. That's all I can muster...just damn good to see him.

---I heard somebody make the argument on sportstalk radio this week...if we really don't expect WADE PHILLIPS to change...as he promised in December...then why should we expect TONY ROMO to change? The host argued its the same thing. I say...WRONG. Wade is sixty-something and has coached in the NFL for thirty-something years. Tony is a growing, maturing 29 year old player. Change is necessary for him...impossible for Wade.

Hmmm... We'll see on the field, Romo has to show what he's made of in December and beyond.

Can we all just agree to stipulate that any comments players or coaches make about future play on the field will actually be determined on the field? It'll save us weeding through a bunch of posts this off season that take up space but don't actually say anything.

On this note as well...

Is it also possible that we can all agree that we'll have to "show it in December", but that we can actually discuss each individual game as such and be excited for our prospects along the way without someone jumping in to remind us that December is coming?

Or that we need to win a playoff game?

We all know this. We don't need to be reminded everytime a positive story comes out.

Wow, Romo is 29. I keep thinking he's younger than that.

Figure he's got at most 4-5 years of effectiveness left.

Then we start looking all over again.:(

Ya, cuz all good QBs fade at 33-34:rolleyes: I guess Payton Manning is done? He's 33. Guess Brady will be done after this year when he turns 33? How bout that crazy Brett Favre? Maybe your name should be hole in the theory?

Yeah. We all got that...the first two or three hundred times it was mentioned.

The point about Romo and December is self-evident, and really needn't be included in every discussion about Tony Romo.:)

I was sort of hoping to see what he's made of in December, but earlier. Maybe September or October. Would that be ok with everybody?

Romo isn't as good as Brady or Manning. And Favre is a terrible example. He's been average for a while.

Regarding Romo, his game is predicated on his athleticism and his uncanny ability to improvise and avoid pass rushers. Will he still be able to do that effectively at 34-35? Remains to be seen.
