I am all for it if true. The less he talks to them the better. I wish the whole team would pull a marion barber.....
anwway here is cbs 11's blog the bullpen.
--I teased Cowboys tight end Jason Witten that I have never seen him work so hard. Watching from the sideline, in Denver during pre-season game number two, I witnessed "Wit" showing all of his best coaching moves. He spent time with fellow tight ends Tony Curtis, Drew Atchison and, the most time, with Rodney Hannah. I mean, he was REALLY into helping these guys. Food for thought: Why would he spend so much time with a guy like Hannah, unless he thought he would be around for awhile?
--Tony Romo did not spend any time with the media this week leading up to the third pre-season game. Did he just decide to take the week off? Is he upset with something said or written? Or did he finally finish the Marion Barber..."How to be a professional football player handbook"?
--Did you hear that Hollywood headline grabber Lindsey Lohan sent a text message to gold medal grabber Michael Phelps? She wants to meet him, apparently. If I were 18-years-old again... I might send a text message myself. It would go something like this: "Hello Nastia...wanna get a coke?"
--If I had a nickel for all the things I like about ESPN's Skip Bayless...I would need to borrow a nickel.
--Most surprising scene, to me, from the first three episodes of HBO's Hard Knocks... Jason Garrett giving his "you've got to have swagger speech." He said...paraphrasing...T.O.'s got swagger...Romo's got swagger...Witten's got swagger...if you don’t have swagger...there is the door! This doesn't sound like Jason to me. He always seemed to be more of a low key type guy...a guy who doesn't appreciate too much swagger...would rather see...quiet, hard working types. My feeling about this team...they have plenty of swagger...probably too much, in fact, for a team that has yet to accomplish anything.
--Former Cowboy great Tony Dorsett still has plenty of speed. When the sky opened up...dumping a ridiculous amount of rain on the autograph signing session before the Cowboys open practice Wednesday night...Dorsett bolted for the tunnel in about 4.3 seconds. He only earned "the bail out" silver medal, however. Preston Pearson won the gold in about 4.1 seconds. Meanwhile, Randy White sat there...with no umbrella or cover of any kind... and kept signing throughout the entire monsoon. A little rain isn't enough to scare "the Manster".
--My little girl, Kaity Jo Dennis, starts kindergarten next week. She is excited and seems more than ready. I only hope her daddy has the courage necessary to endure all of the things his baby will face in the next 12 years.
