CeeDee Lamb at running back

This is ridiculous we know the guy has tremendous athletic skill if he was a stone moron why did we draft him.
I can't believe this guy cannot be coached up to take a handoff and follow his blocking.

Okay maybe we don't want him in on pass place because he wouldn't know his blocking assignment but we drafted him to run the ball now can we at least try it rather than getting the best player on our team hurt by attempting to make him into a running back.

It's like you give this coaching staff books on how to coach football and all they do is eat the covers.
This coaching staff sucks at decision making. Horrible.

I agree with your points.

Buy we can't expect to score that many points and have to nail a 64 yarder for the W. That is not sustainable.

Perfectly normal play to get your best/only playmaker the ball. If it’s a 5 yard gain with no incident no one ever thinks about the play again. An injury can happen on any play, ball in hand or not. Any complaints are just Monday morning quarterback with hindsight as a benefit

Ceedee had carried the ball 56 times before that without issue to the tune of 6.8 yards per carry.

I like that Adams is thinking outside the box with using Lamb as a RB. Maybe trying lining Pickens and Lamb in an I formation to confuse the defense. Hitting an open Pickens leaking out of the backfield is tough to defend.
I know Pickens is light, but can he take on a LB to make a hole for Lamb? We need to change things up to take some pressure off of Dak.
Adam should be put in a box after that play call.

Heck yeah we already got CD hurt put Pickens back there against a linebacker see if we can get him knocked unconscious or something great idea.

Holy Spit. What a post we got here.
Now we got somebody that wants to get both of our top receivers hurt playing out of position.

How about if we want to change things up to take the pressure off of Dak just for Spitz and giggles we put in one or both of the running backs that we drafted to do that job instead of leaving them sit on the bench.

CD says otherwise and with quality medical & therapy treatment.. If anyone's experienced such (I have).....the high ankle sprain certainly takes longer than the normal sprain. Pool work (running in place in the water) helped me. We shall see....can be nagging and easily reaggravated too......
Yeah I'm kind of thinking that the rigors of the NFL and the kind of stress that it's going to be needed to endure could probably take a little longer to get right then say a guy who's going to work in an office and move the mouse all day in front of a computer screen.

Just saying

CeeDee has been at RB for a few seasons now. It's a bad break, but players get hurt.
You're 100% right players do get hurt but any intelligent coaching staff tries to minimize that risk.

Kind of why we don't play our most valuable players in preseason.

Dak is built quite a bit like a linebacker but we don't play him there.
We are certainly not devoid of running backs so why play CD lamb out of position where he will take more punishment .

It was a stupid play call the other 56 times he ran and didn't get hurt.
Just like you could not wear your seatbelt for 5 years and absolutely nothing happens then one day you get hit from behind and go through the windshield but it worked great for those other five years.
Risk versus reward coaching staff needs to get a handle on it.
Daks go to receiver should not be put at totally unnecessary risk

Yep.....but in the NFL, after game 1 everyone plays hurt, it's the injured that can't. Nothing comparable with the keyboardists' hurt or injury until "kourage" gets in the way. Point taken.

If you’re paying Lamb bundles of cash you can’t ask him to run a sweep once in awhile ?

For that much money you can ask him to put himself at all kinds of risk.

That doesn't mean it makes any sense at all or is in the best interest of the team.

Playing your best player out of position and putting him at unnecessary risk when you have running backs you drafted that you're not even using is

STONE STUPID!!!!

No it’s called football . Pretty soon everyone will be in bubble wrap

You missed my point. I was saying that CeeDee has run the ball from the RB position before. 14 times a season, each of the last two seasons in fact. That's 28 rushes for 183 yards (6.5per) and two TDs.

Not saying it's right or wrong, but it's not new. It's not the first time or some one-off gimmick like Zeke playing center. He could have just as easily got hurt on a swing pass, slant or screen. Heck any play really.

Injuries happen. He'll be back soon, he's one tough SOB.
