Challenge For Pro-garrett Crowd

Dallas will score at will when the penalties stop.

... and the penalties will stop when the OL gets better.

I think we could have a top-5 scoring offense if we get the Marc Colombo of 2007-2008-first half of 2009 back. I really hope I am wrong about Colombo's legs being shot. I was really hoping that the light was going to go on for Barron but he looked worse than he ever did before on Sunday night.

Every team has deficiencies. It's up to the coaches to work around them. Until JG learns how to do this well, I don't think we will improve much from last year.

I have been flamed and mocked in other threads for pointing that we are the #31st scoring offense after week one. I have heard comments like, "its only week one", "the sample size is too small", "we will not end the year that low", "stupidest comment of the day", ect.
Yeah, well it was the stupidest comment of the day.

As for your bet, I would never ask any person to ban himself. I do not like those bets.

I am Garrett's biggest fan on this site. Come up with a real bet and we will talk turkey. Until then this is nothing but a tantrum.

I think top 3 is a bit unrealistic...that is almost tops in the entire league...heck I dont even think the defense will be top 3 and they are seen as strength of the team. If Dallas can be top 10 in defense and offense combined with timely decisions by Wade and I think Dallas will be ok.

As you can see the bar is set to high for Garrett...:lmao2: :lmao2: :lmao2:

I believe we can win games if we score 3-4 TD's a game mixed in with a fg or two but between this O-line and Garrett's non-style of offense, we might not see that to often against tougher teams..:(

Lamest post of the month award right here.

1. Garrett has to be in the top 10% to be considered a success?
By this standard, almost every cowboy player is a spare.

2. Garrett can suddenly block at 5 o-line positions all at once?
You certainly must believe Garrett is all-powerful if all by himself he can make this offense a juggernaut.

Beast_from_East. Epic Fail.

Sounds to me like you are already making excuses for the guy (he cant block all the positions at once, ect...).

Not responding to defend Garrett. Just trying to figure out where you are.

Here's the problem with digging in your feet in such a position...........
How do pull for the team?

Now I know there are larger issues at stake in your mind, but do you really eel being right on Garrett is better than being wrong and winning?

Of coure not, if I am wrong and we are in the top 3 in scoring than we will most likely play in the SuperBowl.

That is worth a 2 month ban in my opinion.

I just do not believe that Garrett can do this, so I came up with this little challenge to see just how strong the belief is with Garrett's supporters.

I simply made a challenge based off the fact that our yards are tops in the league, but our points are not. Everybody seems to think we have one of the best offenses in the league, but our points scored are average.

So the question is can Garrett get our points to match our yards??? The Saints rank near the top of the league in both categories (at least for last year, I have not checked the stats for this year for them)...........so I ask why cant our offense be as good??? Do the Saints really have that far superior personnel than we do???

So that is why I made this challenge, and if I am wrong and we are ranked at the top of the league in points, then we will most likely play in a SuperBowl. As I stated in my previous post, that would be worth a ban and I would be happy as can be..............I just dont believe Garrett can get this offense to that level.

I am surprised that nobody has taken me up on this challenge. I would have imagined at least 1 person would think we could end the year ranked in the top 3 in points scored.

I call bull wafers. You have asked me several times.

I am not Pro-Garrett, Jones, Ware, Romo, or any of that stuff.

But you are really gung-ho about this 31st in scoring deal. Good for you.

Off the top of my head I can assure you that the SB winning Ravens were not in the top as far as offensive scoring.

I understand that you are frustrated with the offense. You need to look at the bigger picture sometimes.

Stats do not always tell the story. QB rating does not always mean a crappy QB. Etc.

Move on from this and start focusing on the Bears game.

My point I am trying to make is that the same problem we had last year is still the same problem we have this year..........points are far below yards.

Last year, we averaged just under 4 yards a game less than the Saints, but the Saints finished tops in the league in scoring while we finished in the middle of the pack, why???

Do the Saints really have that superior of personnel than we do??? If that is the case, how did we match them almost yard for yard??? Now what happens this year, we start out ranked #2 in yards and in the bottom of the league in points.

Will we stay at the bottom??? Of course not, I fully expect our points scored to increase to a level close to last year. However, we are already tops in yardage, so the same problem we had last year is still a problem this year.

The whole purpose of this "challenge" was to see if any of the Garrett supporters believed the offseason mantra of "getting our points to equal our yards". So far, not one single Garrett supporter thinks we will end the year in the top 3 in scoring, even though our yards per game is already in the top 3.

This did surprise me.

Who want's to see a bunch of zoners get banned? Certainly not me! If that happened all of us poor lurkers would have nothing to read.

To make a point though, we will never be a top-3 scoring team unless we develop a more physical offensive line. Teams that have success throwing into the end-zone usually do so with play-action, which means the defense must fear your goal-line running attack... I just don't see it happening this season.

You should not be surprised.

A win is a win.

2 yards rushing, 4 yards passing, and a Win, will always be better than 400 yards passing, and 300 yards rushing with a Loss.

I am thinking the Cowboys end up around 8-14 for offensive scoring. But if they end up around 15-26 and have 14 wins ...would it matter at all ?

That is what we are all talking about really. The Commanders offense executed poorly for most of the game last week, the Cowboys D contributed to that. Same can be said the other way around for the Cowboys offense and Commanders D.

I know you don't see it that way right now, but don't sell your team short just yet.

Look at the defenses you face and tell me honestly that you expect to light up the scoreboard week in and week out.

I expect the Commanders to come out blazing today, but I know they will be hard pressed to be the #1 offense in the NFL.

Of course wins are more inportant than anything else, the problem is that if your offense is ranked 15-26 in scoring, you probably are never going to have 14 wins.

Usually the higher your scoring offense, the more wins you have. That is kinda the whole problem we are talking about here.

This. This is why it is a stupid challenge (by the OP). Also, if you were a true Cowboys fan, I think your attitude would be one of great relief if you turned out to be wrong about Garrett. I mean... Let's say for a minute you are right about Garrett... who is the winner there? Your position is a lose/lose proposition for yourself.

You completely ignored what I said. Congratulations on your thoughts. I guess.

I'd take the bet and give $10,000 on top that with one condition:

You get 11 robot androids that mimic human beings in intelligence, strength and agility, are programed to: follow instructions to the letter without questions or hesitation, to not make any mistakes, put Cowboys uniforms on them, and line them up for the next 6 months on offense under Garrett.

But as long as JG has to deal with human beings who make mistakes, there's no deal.

Well, I don't know about your earlier comment, but this one could be in the running for "stupidest comment of the day".

Until the Cowboys demonstrate that they have (a) a defense that generates many more turnovers, (b) significantly improved return games, and (c) a reliable FG kicker, there's no reason to believe that they can reach the top 3 in points scored, no matter who our offensive coordinator is. We face too many long fields, have too few offensive drives and leave points on the field with every missed FG. And that's without even getting into the offensive penalties.

We scored 455 points in 2007 under Jason Garrett and Tony Sparano and lost in the divisional round of the playoffs at home against the Giants.. Did those 455 points made you feel better about that loss back then ? because, frankly, I didn't give a damn about them.

The Patriots scored 427 points last year and lost to the Baltimore Ravens ( who scored 391 points ) in the wildcard game.

What do you think they care more about ? The fact that they scored more points than the Ravens or that they lost to them in the playoffs ?

Well lets see how confident you pro-Garrett guys are. We ended the season last year ranked #2 in yardage and all I heard all offseason was how the mantra this year was to get the points to equal the yardage, in other words....no more empty yards.

I will go on record as saying right now Garrett cant do it, he cannot get this offense to be in the top 3 with his playcalling. So here is a little challenge to anybody on this board that is Garrett supporter.....

So how confident are you pro-Garrett guys, you willing to take the challenge or do yall agree with me that there is no chance Garrett can do it???
