Granted the odds are a bit long but possible.

Vike would need to lose the next 2 (Chicago tonight and vs NY Giants)
Arz Losing to Green Bay
Dallas beating Philly of course

Keeping fingers crossed on this one but hope somehow it happens.

It would be pretty nice but I really don't see the Vikes losing their final two games. Especially not seeing how the Giants played yesterday. I think they've pretty much laid down and quit at this point.

I could honestly see the Giants tanking just to prevent us or Philly from getting a bye week.

As I said it is pretty slim however there seems to be some turmoil in Minn right now and they have not been playing good football as of late. As for the G-men they could very well lay down and die it is hard to know how they will respond after getting handled as they did yesterday.

So I'm not expecting it only looking at the possibility

Those scenarios are more likely then people think.

The hardest scenario in my opinion is the game tonight. I don't see the Vikings losing to the Bears but it is a division game, so you never know.

I believe Tom Coughlin was flat out embarrassed yesterday and I believe he is going to make the Giants play hard the last week of the Season.

If the Cowboys get the #2 Seed, I could honestly see them getting to the Super Bowl.

I agree. I think Tonight’s game will go a long way in this scenario happening. If somehow the Bears could pull off the upset. It clearly would make the Cowboys vs Eagles game even more intense for both clubs knowing they had a chance at getting a bye.

Wouldn't GB get the #2 seed as they won against us?

They can't - they're a wildcard, they can't win their division.

The division winners with the two best records get the bye's. Wild card teams do not get a bye regardless of their record or who they beat.

It really is very possible. The Packers are hot right now, and I wouldn't be surprised if the Bears won tonight. Favre hasn't been as good in the cold in his later years, and it's going to be freezing tonight in Chicago. I think the biggest obstacle might be the Giants winning in Minny's dome when they have something to play for.

GB can't win their division because they lose the tie breaker vs Minn. The worst Minn can do is 11-5 the best the Pack can do is 11-5

Green Bay has very little to play for (in fact nothing) and likely is in the same boat as we are, having to play Arizona two weeks in a row. I'd think they'll be extremely vanilla and probably yank their starters pretty quick. Arizona will likely win that one and if so, we cant get a bye.

I also think its unlikely Minnesota loses to both Chicago and NYG.

The longest shot will be played out tonight - all of the other scenarios have some hope of success, a Bear victory....not so much.

True.

I heard some audio of Tom Coughlin after game and he was PO'ed.

Tom Coughlin will be the Head Coach next year, the players know that and they know he will be watching to see who quit.

I think the Giants will play hard but I am not sure it will enough to win.

Odds are long simply because of how many moving parts we're talking about here. We need 4 outcomes to go our way.

It's certainly plausible. Any of these games could go either way.

I'll be satisfied if Chicago can win tonight and we can at least go into week 17 with the #2 seed still a possibility.

I don't know why you guys want a bye week so badly. That has not worked out well the last two seasons in the NFC.

It is still the shortest rout to the SB.
