Remember when Jones said the signing of Davis gave them options and he sounded as if he would move him to LT if Flo left. I'd rather have him protecting Romo's blindside rather than Free, McQ, or Marten. I think they can find a RG like Koiser in FA or Put McQ or Procter in there and we'll be find. However, I'd much rather have Flo over there even though he has a few false starts he's still gives your team the best chance to win.

Just wanted to see what you guys think of Davis possibly moving back to LT. Do you think thats why we didnt sign and probably wont sign flo. I just cant see jerry jones putting a young unprooven McQuistan or Free out there at Lt to protect romo's blind side just to risky. L davis isnt great himself out there but hes better than those 2 guys. We should move Mcquistan or Free to the Gaurd and put Davis back at LT, hes not great but i would think he would be better than those 2. Your Thoughts?

Not gonna happen IMO.

BTW, Who exactly is Chances L Davis? :D

Yes......I was actually going to post this exact same thing.

I was sick when I heard it. Jones said this several times. But as someone said earlier, "Why weaken two positions?"

But I think Jones is thinking he can move Davis to LT>

ZERO chance that they move him from a dominate RG position to a mediocre, barely above average, LT position.

Zero. Dallas will live, and/or die, by whether Free or McQ can play LT if Flo leaves.

Don't rule out Colombo being moved to LT.

If Flo goes, I really think OT becomes an issue on day 1. No way do we trade our picks for McFadden.

CB and WR in the 1st, and OT in the 2nd. Find our next Flo.

McQ, Free, and Maarten can battle out for the RT spot.

Not unhappy with that although would like to see an RB on the first day,

I am with Big Dakota. I think its a backup plan.

If Free and McQuistan cannot handle LT, I think Bigg could be looked at as the LT for a year as a stop gap.

Not saying I want to see it (he is much better at RG)....but I think he is a backup plan if McQ and Free fail at LT and we need a stop gap for a year.

I would have no problem with Davis being Plan C at the Left Tackle spot.

But if anyone is considering him as Plan A, I'm officially worried.

He's coming off of a Pro Bowl year at RG. I am sure every intention is to keep him there. Which means, if Flozell is gone..... that they will give Free and McQuistan every opportunity to earn the LT spot.

Only if they both fail, would you see something like Davis at LT being discussed/used...

If they don't know from practice against Ware and Ellis whether McQuistan or Free can handle the spot then the coaching staff should be ashamed of themselves.

Exactly.

McQ and Free go against some very good pass rushers in practice. Hopefully, that will help them.
