Change of careers

I'm thinking of going into the Truckdriving field and was wondering if any of my fellow posters had any advice. I'm kind of a loner and approaching 40. My job prospects here in orlando or horrible to say the least and I'm not able to provide for my daughters future at all. I know that driving is not romantic like "Smokey and the bandit" but I feel I can make good money and not have a lot of bills. My father is a truck driver, the pay is great but not worth the time you put in. Your weekly check would be around 400-700 dollars if you work for a company and you would be gone 5 days out of the week if your driving by yourself. If your in a team, then you will still be gone the same time since they make you take more loads.
