They are also going to let Sproles walk! What are they thinking? Forget Cromartie, I would offer Barber for a 3rd and Brandyn Dombrowski and call it a day!!

The Chargers are probably thinking that Sproles has not done much as a running back in his career.

Drafted in 2005
887 career rushing yards
880 career receiving yards
15 career TDs rushing/receiving

This was his year to step up. LT was clearly on the decline and missed time. Sproles responded by having a career high in rushing attempts with 93 and a career low in average at 3.69 yards per rush.

If a Cowboy running back accomplished these stats after 5 years the fans would be screaming as to why he was still around. Julius Jones did much more as a runner during his Cowboy tenure and most could not wait to get rid of him.

Here is a nice little comparison. Tashard Choice has 821 career rushing yards as the #3 back in only two seasons in Dallas.

woah, I never realized sproles had so little production. Choice actually basically about the same amount of rushing yards as sproles?? Only way i get rid of choice is if they offer us there 1st.

I can see Jhavid Best being selected by the Chargers.

Though the late 1st would be considered a bit of a reach by some (due to concerns about his concussions and overall durability), it kinda makes sense. They obviously need bodies at the position and he's a california kid.

bet they take Jonathan Dwyer. He is around 220 now, and will run a low 4.4.

Sorry, they guy's not worth anywhere near 7.3 million and he won't get close to that on the open market.

Julius Jones rushed for that in half a season coming off an injury.

Sproles would be a nice addition for our return game... no doubt, but probably way too pricey.

Yeah I'm sure the Chargers would JUMP at that trade for a declining Barber who when even at his best wasn't a feature back.

Sproles is basically a third down back and kick returner. Maybe the Chargers feel he is wearing down?

That is true. the Chargers know that and I suspect Sproles knows that also. Honestly it wouldn't surprise me if he ended up back in San Diego.
