A guy that can develop a QB and is a great offensive mind.

Keep 'Mad' Mike Zimmer as the D-cord.

We really don't know how GOOD he is as a head coach.

Frankly-his success at Notre Dame so far has become over-blown. Ty Willingham actually had more success in his first year there, but noone seems to be talking about it.

Jimmy Johnson will be the next Cowboys coach.

Have you noticed the love he's giving the Cowboys this year? He and Jerry have made up... Jimmy will be back. He's a football coach, and he will miss it just like they all do. What better team to return to? He's just waiting for Parcells to retire now, IMO.

This guy is looked up for 10 years, i dont think he'll leave in only 2

He may, to coach DA BOYZ is special. He would get twice as much attention as he does with the Irish.

To quote Weis as best as I remember during his introductory press conference with the Irish, "When you come to Notre Dame, you don't come to use it as a stepping stone. You come to retire there."

You don't leave in 2-3 years after uttering words like that to the boosters.

C'mon man, "loot" and a chance to coach AMERICA'S TEAM could change his mind quick, fast, and in a hurry....

I hate these threads.

We're on the verge of being a true playoff competitor and somebody's talking about 2007.

Caught him on an espn interview, org. started on Quinn not being even invited to Heisman............any way, Weis stated he is staying at ND until his son grad's from there in 10 years................then he said he has a daughter w/ special needs that will take his time..............

How about 2009. Parcells is going to resign an extension until then. That gives Weis enough time to refurbish the program at ND. Jerry would be willing to buy out ND for Weis especially when Parcells agrees to stay on as special consultant to Weis.

Ever notice how Weis always mentions Parcells before Belichick in interviews when he is talking about coaching styles, philosophies and influences.

For Pete's sake, he looks like Bill Parcells Jr. with the hair, the face and the walk.
If this happens the Cowboys will have been in good hands for a good 10 years and we as fans should not complain about Jerry Jones.

Weis just signed a 10 year deal that is worth 30-40 million. It also has a LARGE buyout.
So for the morons that started this thread, get current.
Also- I am a ND fan and the first 8 games with Willingham every break went our way.
The offense was a joke and the D was playing way over its head and made some big plays. Arnaz Battle won two games on absolutely crazy plays. Later against USC and Oregon State the truth was shown- and from that point on Willingham was a joke.
He could not recruit steadily, he picked a lousy staff, and had no feel for offense.
Look at Washington this year. Charlie is 10 times the HC that Willingham will ever be- and even the Willingham apologists are starting to admit it.

Next coach might be Johnson...or Mike Holmgren. Word has it JJ and Mike have struck up a real relationship as part of ongoing activities on the Competition Committee. Seattle is a good gig but I think most would admit that Dallas is more "big time."
