And at what point are you going to concede your stance on Chaz Green?

Why would you concede the possibility that a player who has shown he has the talent to make a positive impact when he stays on the field might eventually stay healthy enough to do so. Did you think Sean Lee was toast too?

Never.... I want him to succeed...... he has the talent but has been unlucky with injuries

I will stick with a guy that works hard over selfish divas that abuse drugs or their gifts

Ok well I stick with guys that are reliable and do a great job when they play. Anyone else is fodder.

Him and I have been going back and forth now for 3 years on Chaz. I didnt like the pick and he hasnt proven me wrong. At some point, Chaz Green continue to ride the bench or ride the rehab room, he will have to concede that he was wrong.

And the little that we have seen of Chaz Green, he has shown little if anything.

And when did Chaz Green showed he had the talent? Please. The guy was a horrible draft pick, an injury prone part time player in college and has done nothing but disappoint here.

Disagree with this stance. People hated that he had struggles in the preseason with his stamina playing the whole game, clearly he wasn't in the shape for that. But when the regular season came and he had to fill in for Tyron Smith, he played like an above average starter. I don't have questions about Green's ability anymore, it's obviously just a lack of confidence in his ability to stay healthy that is the problem.

That is why I'm all about a move to LG for Green. Give Collins all the time in training camp and early season to get used to a switch from LG to RT, don't make him deal with that difficult of a switch mid season if/when Green goes down if he were to be the starter at RT. Much easier to just have to replace 1 starter at LG if Green goes down with an injury than have to replace 2 starters at LG and RT if Green were to start at RT.

I notice you paint yourself in a corner a lot with players and the team in general. Why come to such quick, concrete opinions about these issues? I don't understand the rush to judge things. Let it play out.

Are his health problems related to his conditioning? Given no one can look like Tyron, but he looks sloppy even for an OL.

I disagree with that. I do agree that he hasn't shown much at all because he has been injured almost his entire stay with the Cowboys. But the microscopic sample that we have had is very intriguing to me.

I would say he held his own in two games at LT. In preseason he has looked horrid. And overall he has been too injured to do much. So overall for me, he is useless.

Above average starter? Get out of here.

You mean like how I painted myself in a corner with Dak Prescott?

Have I been wrong about Chaz Green? Ive been right on the money. When and if the kid shows up and does so in a reliable manner, I will be happy to acknowledge.

Why is it so difficult to state facts. Chaz Green has been a disappointment since he has been drafted.

I don't think you are completely wrong about Chaz. But when you say he was a "horrible draft pick", there is no question in my mind you are jumping the gun, even if you are eventually right. The process is not over yet. I admit I'm not happy with him yet either. But I recognize he has talent which he has shown flashes of on the football field. I agree he needs to put it together pretty quickly or he will be a wasted pick like you suggest. The timing is off though. Putting a roster together is a marathon not a sprint.

LOOK: Are The Cowboys Experimenting With Chaz Green At Left Guard?

...There are a lot of votes for Jonathan Cooper, which would give the team essentially five-first rounders all across the offensive line, but so far the team has expressed a vote of confidence in Emmett Cleary. Perhaps the real answer isn’t either of these guys and is in fact a former option at right tackle - Chaz Green.

...Zack Martin recently said on an episode of AJ Hawk’s podcast that this was really the first time since he’s been here that the team is experiencing a high level of change along the offensive line. Both Doug Free and Ron Leary have been big parts of this unit for so long, adjusting to their absence’s requires some level of creativity.

Perhaps that creativity isn’t the predicted Emmett Cleary or Jonathan Cooper, but indeed the man who has actual experience in playing games with this unit. Chaz Green is a bit unexpected as the meat to the Tyron Smith and Travis Frederick sandwich, but if there’s anyone in the NFL who knows how to make an offensive line work... it’s the Dallas Cowboys....
