He has never played every game in any season in college or pros. So to rely on him would be extremely stupid. No matter how talented. That explains why they are looking to make him a multi position backup. then the reliability problem is much less important.

A fair assessment would be talented but injury prone. To say he has 0 talent is ignorance...

I think Emmitt Cleary was a much better OL than Chaz !!! I really think Emmitt Cleary was the 2nd best OT on the team behind All Pro Smith.

Then you don't understand how to evaluate OLinemen by studying the game footage.

The skill level demonstrated by Green was far superior to Cleary.

Green was really good in two starts at LT last season. So good, that few fans realized that Tyron missed those games.

I thought Cleary showed potential to be a decent backup or low level starter, but Green is clearly the superior player.

You have to be on the field to be a better player, Green is hurt all the time. Cleary did a great job !!! I don't think you understand how to evaluate players.

You keep harping on talent. No one on a NFL roster does not have talent. But if you cannot stay on the field talent is MEANINGLESS.

and until Green can show he can stay on the field he is not someone to rely upon let alone designate as a starter.

Green was there when they needed him. Tyron missed 2 games in the middle of the season and Green was very good as his replacement.

Cleary played in the final game because they rested the starters.

Cleary played when Smith got hurt, the TE lined up ot help him the 1st snap and saw how good he was and moved over to help Free the rest of the game. Cleary was the 2nd best OT on the team last year.

I can name a ton of backups that don't have talent, they are career subs. And you are missing the point here. Done explaining

I think Green ends up a backup- that way he is much less likely to be injured.
