Cheap hit by burress

I don't know how you guys saw that play when Burress hit a defenseless player in Jenkins when he was running down field.I could be wrong but I thought that was illegal now and draws a flag. What did you all think of the hit?

The NFL does not protect defensive players. I see it all the time, especially on special teams with crackback blocks

That's basically the Hines Ward rule. You can hit a guy blindsided like that, but you can't hit above the pads. Plax knocked Jenkins right in the head. Should have been a flag.

If he'd actually been running, never would have happened...not hating on Jenkins...really proud of his effort tonight, but he was basically taking it easy and set himself up on that one...exactly like the hit on the GB player years ago in that it was unnecessary and away from the play.

Agree. He was lollygagging on the field during that play, he didn't want to be part of that tackle.

I actually love that kind of football. I thought that was a great play by Plax. I love Hines Ward because he makes you stay alert or he will tear your head off. I thought it was clean and just good, hard football. I hope our WRs do that to the other team too.

Now afterwards, when Jenkins was down, and they were showing Plaxico talking crap and acting all pissed off after he laid that hit on something, that I'm not so high on, but I thought the play by Plaxico is exactly how you're supposed to play football.
