No not at all. Im very surprised by our defense, but being realistic they are no where near the Eagles defense. Lets be honest here.

Not as good. Ok.

Not anywhere near? I don't know about that. We aren't anywhere near the Vikings. The Eagles defense is not on that level, though.

Give Dak the Eagles defense and see how much better we look. Wentz has far more opportunities to showcase his talent because his defense is giving him the ball back a lot. Also, his defense is the reason for many of those wins. Actually, all of them. Dak has put this team on his back and actually LED them. I have yet to see Wentz do that. He also didnt seem to comfortable coming back from behind against an inferior team on the road. Dak doesnt get phased. Ever, its actually quite remarkable.

And, Dak seems to be a natural runner, unafraid to take off and get hit. I think he said playing in the SEC conditioned him on getting hit, and he can take it. Wentz doesn't seem to be a natural runner, but able to run if he has to. That's a big difference, and, getting hit by teams Wentz played weren't as ferocious as the SEC.

Both QBs are the face of their franchise for a lot of years to come.

Dak's 3rd in DVOA to Wentz's 7th. Dak is 2nd in QBR to Wentz's 14th.

The big thing that sticks out to me is Dak's location of his throws compared to Wentz's and Wentz does a solid job of anticipating the receiver and coverage, but not so much with the pass rush. Wentz takes some brutal hits and you have to think that's going to catch up to him. But, he's a mega-impressive athlete.

Both guys have shown they have the skills to succeed in the NFL.

I think it's too short a time to call either a "franchise" QB, but they have both shown they at least belong in the NFL which is far more than what most rookie QB's show.

Right now Dak has the edge, but Wince is a quality prospect...

The Eagles have a MAJOR problem at right tackle with Johnson out. His replacement was so bad that Philly had to keep TEs in to block. And it still wasn't enough, as that line was getting obliterated.

Something to monitor for him moving forward. He stood no chance today, and it might not get much easier until Johnson is back in 9 games.
