6-1 297. Rookie FA.
Played in 2 games.

Anyone knows anything about this guy? Are we desperate enough to give him a look?

Don't know anything about him but from a quick search, they seemed pretty high on him during TC. I guess it's safe to assume that this move was made to make room for Rat. If he clears waivers he may go on their PS.

I read he ran a 4.8 at 300lbs. Pretty impressive. Small school guy that went undrafted, so definitely a project.

Definitely looks like a Marinelli DT; although most of the guys they've been bringing in have more experience.

They could cut loose Rayford or Wilber.

They just waived Marvin Austin injured. So he could be on their radar.

The concern is, even with the Ratliff the signing, the Bears are pretty thin at DT. Doesn't bode well when they're cutting a player at a position of need, even if they're signing another.

No. The Cowboys love the Drake and, between Hatch, Golden Cock, and The Drake, they are set.

That's 3 DT. Doen't Marti like rotating them. If Minter is quick passrushing type, wouldn't hurt to keep them fresh. Teams now like to play fast break offense and the big fellows tire easily.

I think this one actually makes a little sense.

Kid looks explosive in the little tape I saw on-line. High energy, relentless type, fits the Maranelli profile.

Oops. Forgot about Wynn, he plays DT as well.

We are no where near set. Hatcher has been suffering neck stingers and he missed most of the fourth qtr Sunday.

Hayden has a back issue that pops up here and there and did Sunday and cost him two series in the game.

We need another tackle pretty bad. I bet they ride it out this week and then over the buy bring in a bunch of guys to try and find one to fill that spot.

Or, like Garrett was saying, they bring in a guy on Wednesday, and he plays on Sunday. lol

But,, you do make a good point about the bye week that I did not consider.

I think this might happen.
More bottom of the roster churning and keep giving these back up types chances to see if you hit on a guy like Hayden or Selvie that will play hard for you.
Not bad and very little to lose.
No cap impact.

are we that desperate that we now want rookie FAs cut from other teams?

We are obviously desperate enough to want cuts from other teams. That starts at 2 of the 4 positions on this DL right now and makes up about 75% of the back ups.

As to the rookie part it just means the guy was good enough the Bears didn't want to expose him to waivers even though he was a no name guy from a small school.
For this team being a rookie UDFA is hardly a burden. Romo/Austin/Beasley... we only care if they can play.
