By most accounts, Toradol injections last for about 3 hours before wearing off. I don't know if that's what Romo got, but as far as I know that's typically what a "painkiller injection" is.

It's also something that the league has considered banning because it's got some pretty negative side-effects with extensive use - and there are guys who use it before almost every game.

I think Im going to take one myself next time I watch the Cowboys...dammm it is painful to watch this offense.

Man, Smith just doesn't get the credit he deserves IMO. I think he was more then just a game manager. 21/36 for 223, 2 TDs, 0 INTs, 57 yards rushing.

Since 2011, he's 25-6 -1. That's Brady or Payton good.

Look for the same fight next week from the rams

I think the rams are better personally.

More physical team, big arm quarterback and tons of speed on offense.

Next week is the big one for me, this team can lose Reid's homecoming game and be fine, but we desperately need this conference win over the rams. I can see Dallas and the rams fighting fir a wild card spot in December.

The chiefs will probably go 2-2 against the east, hopefully they go 4-0 then this game won't mean anything.

But the rams coming off a tough loss are a serious opponent.

This will be the worst home crowd of the year unless we light up the scoreboard.

"They are who we thought they were...and we let em off the hook" pretty much sums up my feelings about the Chiefs

I agree rams should be better than the chiefs. But if we can't beat them well then.... well I fail to see where the 9 or 10 wins come from

Impossible to figure out this league.

Romo plays his best in late October through early December.

We need to get out of September 3-1 and then win our home games.

Anyone here familiar with how long those pain injection shots last?

I'm usually surrounded by doctors when I'm watching the game. They said the range was 2-3 hours if you are fairly inactive. Sweating and excerption accelerate the decline.

In any case, I thought Dallas would win a close and I still think they should have.
But a lot of teams will be in rough ride in Arrowhead this year.

Dallas would have beaten KC in Dallas today.
I'm hoping they win next week at home, because they will not be favored at SD or Denver.

They can be. It's just that they are better at being inconsistent than they are at being good.

Hey, live in that fantasy land if you choose.

Maybe they're so "inconsistent" every year because they aren't good enough.

They're not a bad team. They're just not a good team.

I hate to agree with this, but the Chiefs did not impress me today yet the Cowboys were worse.

agree with you, the Boys made Alex Smith look like Koepernicke in the first half. The Chiefs are nothing special, 6-10 or 7-9 at best .....unfortunately, the Cowboys look like a .500 team once again. Funny how Reid already has the Chiefs at the same level as the Boys in his first year there, and with a better home field advantage.

No fantasy here risen. I don't equate inconsistent with being good. They can play like a good team but, they are not there yet.

I agree with the OP, the Chiefs played well. The Cowboys are a better team and wouldn't have lost by one point except for the turnovers. Not exactly a novel concept in the Parity Ball NFL - turn the ball over and you will lose the close games.
