Last I checked, their mascot was a wolf... hence the KC wolves.... any other name just doesn't make sense.

I don't know what the deal is with KCWolf, but the team was named in honor of Kansas City Mayor Bartle, who did more than anyone to get the team there and welcomed in '63. His nickname was Chief.

It's inferred that the KC fan are dancing with him, thus "Dancing with Wolves"

bringing us back to the native American theme.

So actually, it's the KC Costners.
