Choice for Cromartie rumors... would you do it?

I find this hard to believe, but I'm throwing it out there as food for thought...

I just heard for the past 3/4 hour on talk radio (I think it was ESPN) guys discussing a possible Tashard Choice for Antonio Cromartie trade.

It sounded theoretical to me but it got me to thinking...is it a good trade?

What do you think?

This has probably been discussed on the other thread...but I see more value in three good corners vs three good rbs. You play one RB at a time, while you play 2 or 3 corners at a time. I'm fine with keeping Choice anyway....love the guy.

But to answer your question. I'm concerned about why they would trade a "Top CB" for a RB unless they felt the kid was gaaawbage all of a sudden...

No doubt, there is great value in having 3 good corners. You bring in Cromartie to be a starter and that may not sit well with Newman. Chemistry matters and if Newman is bitter that his job is in jeopardy it may impact the team. If Cromartie was brought to Dallas I think something would need to be done with Newman. I also think Dallas already has 3 good corners in Newman, Jenkins and Scandrick.

Only way I'd do it is if Cromartie moves to safety.

And I dont think that's going to happen.

I'll keep Choice.

Im not saying Cromartie is anywhere near Bailey but Rb's are a dime a dozen these days...

I really like Choice's heart and leadership so no I wouldnt do it... We could just draft a CB...

The only way i dont do it is if Dallas plans to use choice in more than just the Wildhog, wildcat or some other formation.

I dont want to watch him sitting on the sidelines another year just to see him walk away for nothing in a season. Not when we could have gotten a high caliber CB out of it. Based on the limited role he is getting here in Dallas he may as well be any late round scat back that we will all forget about in a few years.

This is discussed elsewhere, right? I'll just say what I said in another thread: from what I've read about Cromartie lately, the Chargers are sick of the guy, and it's apparently due to some attitude problems.

and other than one season, Cromartie is pretty much a dime a dozen CB

Well I would have to say the Broncos given the fact they also recieved a draft pick... You dont trade away a shut down corner for a running back...

Tashard is real talent, just under-utilized IMO due to two other RBs ahead of him. MBIII I think will be the odd man out if you ask me.

Do we really need an underachieving CB that bad to trade away someone like Choice?

I think even the rumor is an embarrassment.
