Chris Cooley comments on Romo

You answered your own question.

Not sure why you don't understand..

I'm using not understand in the sense of being baffled, not in the sense that I don't understand it, but I see it and can't understand why people fall for it or get bothered by it if they understand the intent.

The intent? To be a *******?

If so, Cooley was successful.

I don't care if you're talking about the worst player ever, you don't come out and trash him like this. "True" or not.

My favorite is when he posted his pee pee hole on his blog by accident. This guy is such a ****** bag, lol. He has no place to talk.

Again, you answered your own question in the first post.

People are still bothered by the loss and anything anyone says to tweak them is going to sting. If you cut yourself, and peel the scab off before it's healed, it's gonna hurt. It's not some deep, philosophical mystery.

And to expand on what CL said, if the goal is to be a ****** and tweak the Cowboys and their fans, well, he succeeded.

I feel like I'm in the movie Inception. :laugh2:

I was speaking more along the lines of the reaction of fans. But I don't really feel like sorting it out. If I wasn't clear, that's my fault. I'll accept the blame on that one and move on.

Second, I agree with you. I don't like players shooting their mouths off about other players. I think, if anyone should know what it takes to play in the NFL and how hard it is to win, it should be fellow players.

Only a rare few - like Shannon Sharpe and Ochocinco - can get away with it, and even then many wished they'd just shut up. But no one confused Cooley with a potential Hall of Famer. He needs to guard the piehole more closely.

I'll receive your post without further explanation. I'm going to let it die.

I am surprised this bench warmer mediocre TE is trashing Romo lol. Well okay not that surprised considering he gurgles Witten's balls all the time.

Wow. I'm convinced the Skins have the biggest collection of jerks in the NFL. :laugh2:

Another reason to hate this guy...

Add Washington Commanders tight end Chris Cooley to the list of people who enjoyed the Dallas Cowboys collapse on Sunday.
And specifically, Cooley enjoyed the way the day ended for Cowboys quarterback Tony Romo.
“It’s so good,” Chris Cooley said, according to a report in the Washington Post. “I was watching the scoreboard in St. Louis, and I didn’t see that they’d lost really until they end, I thought they blew them out so I kind of stopped paying attention."
"It’s amazing, amazing to watch him choke like that. I’m just saying, I’m up 24 points in the third quarter, if I’m the head coach, I feel like I could probably just take a knee for the rest of the game, punt it away and there’s no way that Detroit’s gonna drive on you that many times. The only way you’re gonna give up that many points is turnovers, right? It’s hilarious to watch him throw pick sixes, too, back-to-back. I loved it.”
Unfortunately, Cooley did not get to have the same enjoyment the week before, when Romo led the Cowboys to a 18-16 win over the Commanders.
Romo might not have thrown a touchdown in that game, but he also didn't throw one of the pick sixes that Cooley enjoys so much.
Cooley took his hatred for Romo though one step further when he talked about taking his distaste for him from the gridiron to the octagon.
“For me to beat Tony? I’m gonna be honest, I don’t know what kind of cage fighting skills he has," Cooley said. "I would probably try to incorporate my wrestling ability, like when I was in high school. Obviously it’s been a while, but I didn’t like to beat people fast. I like to embarrass ‘em a little bit. Like, take a 24-point lead, and then just play with it a little bit.”

Is he wrong? Like I said only Romo can change that perception.

We beat the Commanders... Stop throwing rocks if you live in a glass house.

I really believe there is something wrong with cooley, I'll leave it at that.

Not like Tony Romo didn't just beat their backsides just recently...:D

That's not it at all. In fact I don't really care about the Romo part at all. The complete lack of respect for the 4-0 Lions from a declining player on a consistently sub part team OTOH annoys me tremendously.

Why wouldn't he love it, he's a rival.

Romo is the one that put us in position to be mocked, just like after the Jet game. You lose a 24 pt lead, yeah, you should be mocked.
