Mills did not seem to be able to close on Chris Jones at all.

Chris Jones isn't just fast for a punter. The man is frrikkken fast by any standard.

That was a thing of beauty. I was so disappointed when we had to punt and then damn near sprained my ankle from jumping when I saw that play happen.

It was probably designed to let the interior come up field some, like a screen pass. Heath and Wilcox were clearly sealing off the edge after they ran inside some.

I really think his punting was not great last night. I don't know the stats but it certainly appeared the Eagles were consistently 20 yards better when they punted.

Agree. He was a very capable punter in addition to being a great replacement for Roger S, even though he never got to the big one.

I called it in the Chat Room on the previous punt near the 50...we needed a momentum change and this was it..... didn't know CJones had Hot Wheels

Yes he looked fast actually.
He was just on the local sports NBC station here in DFW, said they been practicing that this week, from something they seen on film.
And all the goal was, was to get the first down, but everything else was icing on the cake .

i.e, Danny White he had to have 90% success rate at that.

Garrett was on a mission last night and departed from his one play at a time tendencies of just trying to win on standard plays. If nothing else he has the pulse of this team. I know when it happened I was thinking this was a huge play because the defense was getting gassed with all the 3 and outs and quick tempo. The extra time helped them regroup on defense and I think sent the message to the team that they are putting it all out on the table.

Maybe but under his this team is far more advanced in the minutae of execution even better than the 2014 team. When you can execute "everyday" plays at high level it gives coaches the chance to do high risk "trick" plays with higher chance of success. None of the teams before now under Garrett had basic execution down to a point that the coaches would feel comfortable doing this.

Come on guys. It was a called fake, Garrett said it and watch the downfield blocking. The Cowboy's line let players come up the middle so Chris could get to the outside cleanly.
