An intriguing guy who no one seems to be talking about as a 2nd Round option. He put up really nice numbers at the combine, has been extremely productive playing in the SEC, high character guy... A lot to like about him. I know he's short at 6'1 266, but has 34 inch arms.. Almost as long as Clowney's.

Think he fits nicely into what we're trying to do defensively, the guy can flat out rush the passer and has enough power to be effective setting the edge.

Goodplayer, brings it hard every down. No monsense, not flashy, just honest and a good motor. You cant have enough guys like him on your team.
Having said tht i like marcus smith more but he is a bit light in the pants i think

I agree with you on all points. I really like Marcus Smith and he has the frame to add weight. I like Chris Smith, lunch pale type of player but I want a little more upside in the first 3 rounds for me. If he's still there in the 4-5th round then I would take him.

Agree completely with everyone. Nice player, but he never stood out when I watched a couple games of his on draftbreakdown.com. The fact that he's 6'1 as a DE is troublesome too. 2nd round is too rich for me... 3rd round, I'm in.

I also prefer Marcus Smith for the + quickness and upside, but still wouldn't love Marcus Smith in the 2nd round I don't think.

Yeah I think Chris Smith is a part time pass rusher, not sure if I see him being an every down type of guy. Nice player but more of a 3rd/4th rounder in my eyes

The 2nd round seems early for him.

I'm curious to know how the Cowboys feel about shorter DEs. Many of the free agents they picked up were tall with long arms

the more I read on Smith, the more I like him....I wouldn't mind him in the 3rd, but see him going more in the 2nd to someone...depends also on who we get in the first round
