Jerry jones just Told Brad Sham on Special edition that the christmas game was actually originally scheduled to be in philly, then the league changed their mind before they made the schedule public apparently and jones said the reason was "They thought it would be a security issue", with the emotion of the game and TO.

Makes you wonder - if we had won that first Eagles game, does Bledsoe get benched in the Giants game? I think clearly if that game was in Dallas, the Cowboys win it. It was a game they should have dominated, they did statistically, but seemed confused and bewildered by the crowd noise.

I don't know how true your statement is, but I know the game was almost switched because of the Phillies. If they made the playoffs our first game would have been played in Dallas, and tomorrow would have been in Philly.

Thankfully the Phillies continued their losing tradition.

That was pure rumor. The NFL never considered switching the first game.

The issue was that the Eagles and Phillies share parking facilities. Local Philadelphia radio stations and officials suggested the possibility of switching the games and some national media picked up the story. The NFL knew it would be a logistical nightmare and never even considered the possibility.

I am simply making a thread telling everyone what Jerry Jones said yesterday on Special edition with brad sham and jerry. Its on at 10:30 in the DFW area.

that phillies game had nothing to do with it. From what jerry said it was considered before the official schedules were released in April.
