I liked it because it was bluetooth. I didn't have to pay for ring tonesVirusX said:: Yup, part of the reason I like it. Similar to my Samsung E316 (almost 2yrs old now) Just wish it had a full color front screen.

That is a little more important for me since I live in a rural area...

VirusX said:Ya, im out in the country but i havent had a singal problem since Cingular bought AT&T and it seems they are moving the AT&T towers over to cingular considering I get almost no signal in my house now. I had the phone almost 2 years and 1 and a half without problems with signal.
I called cingular and they said well to fix it switch to a cingular phone. How nice :
Razr or V557... Hard decision. But I use it for work and I really need to have a signal lol.
Yeagermeister said:I'm shocked you are still on an ATT phone. I thought everyone had to switch a year or so ago.
You need a bluetooth receiver. I got one at BestBuy for I think $30.VirusX said:Never really used bluetooth. Do you need some kind of wireless usb device to sync?

I had to convert the mp3 to a wav. I'm still trying to figure out how to put it on my treo.VirusX said:cool, pricegrabber has one for $9.99
Does the V551 take mp3 ringtone or does it use the old ones?
Just out of curiousity why don't you like flip phones? I have had both and preferred the flip.WoodysGirl said:I bought a Slvr a couple months ago. I don't like flip phones which is why I didn't get the razr. I'm still figuring out all the features. It does a whole lot more than my old Sony Ericsson.
Funny, but I don't like having to flip the phone to dial a number. It's annoying to me. The last time I had a flip phone, I ended up breaking the flip part. It's just a preference.Yeagermeister said:Just out of curiousity why don't you like flip phones? I have had both and preferred the flip.

What's funny is I got the Slvr purely by accident. I went into Radioshack to get another ear piece for my phone and the guy checked my acct and said I was eligible for an upgrade. So I'm like cool. And right when i was about to walk out, cuz I didn't like any of the ones on display, he brought out the Slvr, which they had just gotten in, the day before. One of my rare impulse purchases.
