Claiborne and Carr never fit

Neither if these players ever fit this defense. They've been a liability from the start, and replacing them was pretty key to running this defense.

That being said, I'm not sure Jones is a player that was worthy of the 27th pick, but I'd love to be wrong. Most of what I've seen him in is man coverage, which hopefully we won't be playing a lot of.

He's a big guy and he is athletic, hopefully he can make a difference in our secondary. Especially with the versatility to play safety.

Honestly outside of Gregory ( who would have been a massive risk) I think most of the talent available is Mid to late 2nd round talent .Hell Demarious Randle went in the first round

They did till Jerry and Co. changed the entire defense. Carr you could argue was our teams defensive MVP his first season here and got us at least 2 wins with his play. I especially remember against the Steelers when he picked off Big Ben and returned it to the one for a game winning FG.
They took two press man to man corners and installed the Tampa Two with father time which was insane.

Gregory was my guy. He has the ability to be a 15 sack guy. Jones to me will be a usefull player, but I think he is a #2 CB in the NFL

from everything i have read about Gregory has turned off alot of teams in his interviews alone, much less all his failed drug tests.
