Obviously ur the only one who sees it this way. As Garrett and Claiborne and everybody else involved with the Cowboys are acting like he was the starter and is now demoted.
He was not the starter. That is a fact, not an opinion.

He got 1 of the "atta boy" awards from the coaches, not from me.

I don't know, I do know that was a big play at the end for the Cowboys. Over the last couple of years we have watched the defense allow the opposing team to march down the field and either tie or take the lead. Dallas was holding on to just a 3 point lead so you bet big play and don't even have a problem with an atta boy but did not change the basic fact that Mo did not play well through out game. Mo sure as heck did not react as he did yesterday for nothing.
It was reported that Scandrick was angry late in the game when he was pulled out for some plays. I have a feeling that Scandrick was involved in whatever made Claiborne angry. Claiborne says that he he angry about how something was presented to him, not about a demotion.

Even Fox's lineup graphic had Claiborne as the starter :)

Do the head count. Scan drink was on the outside (defensive right) with Carr on the game's first series. Claiborne wasn't on the field. In other words, he didn't start.

Right now Garrett is not even saying Mo will be 3rd string or situational. I think Moore helped himself when he got the opportunity. I think we will see Mo and Moore splitting time this week.

“We informed Mo yesterday (Tuesday) that his role was going to change, and he didn’t take that news very well – by his own admission,” said Cowboys coach Jason Garrett. “He left the building and didn’t participate in the meetings and short walkthrough that we have on Tuesdays.”

That article like the previous one, inferred that Scandrick was going to be promoted to starter this week, but. in reality Scandrick was the starter against the Rams.

I'm not saying that Scandrick did not start I'm saying it likely means Moore will be splitting time as the 3rd CB. Whatever news or demotion Mo got came Tues and he did not like it and walked off. This was not something that took place game day it took place Tuesday

I'm not really disagreeing with you, just pointing out that none of the reporters seem to get that Scandrick started against the Rams.

I get that and good catch on your part I can't say I noticed this. As for what is taking place now again if I had to take a guess I think Moore play has caught the coaches eye and he will get a chance along with Mo

No, that would only be true if they had less than 2 CBs on the field. Scandrick and Carr were on the field. That means that Claiborne was the #3 CB.

I was just posting what I'd read and heard when the story about him getting demoted and walking out was posted.

I just find it funny that the media does not seem to have figured out that Scandrick was the starter against the Rams.

I can understand that. I don't know if they can't figure it out or they're just going by what they were told as to why. I have no idea. I can only assume by Mo's reaction that the Rams game he was actually slated as the starter but afterwards they did tell him he wouldn't be the starter anymore.

The whole Nickel defense concept seems to confuse a lot of people. They saw Claiborne playing a lot and are just too lazy to review the game footage and realize that he didn't start. It probably didn't help that the Network graphic showed Claiborne and Selvie as starters despite the fact the Scandrick and Crawford were the actual starters at those positions.

The media expects Garrett to do the work for them and explicitly tell them before the Rams game that Claiborne is not going to start. They can't be bothered to actually figure out the facts for themselves. They don't have time for facts when they all need to jump on local radio to espouse their opinions on Claiborne leaving practice due to a demotion.

Modern Sports Media = 99% opinion + 1% facts
