I dont understand! Wasnt this supposed to be our 10 mil. dollar per year corner who single handedly shut the two best receivers in the NFL in Odell Beckham and Julio Jones down? :facepalm:

Yeah, he could help himself if he stopped sucking so much.

Face it Mo is what he is. DEPTH. Not a starter, not a nickel. DEPTH. He's too injury prone and simply not good enough to be a reliable starting corner in the NFL.

This just shows how underrated Edelman is. Crazy quickness and faster than you think. Cement shoes for Mo on this play.

Been mentioned many times but the guy is a bust and waste of a high draft pick.

Our record in drafting secondary players high in drafts is putrid. :banghead:

Have you been watching the games this year?

For all the Claiborne haters in this thread, you're really showing how much you know about the game and clearly you've missed Claiborne play this season.

He's actually been pretty good, but i'm not dishing out a big contract for him. I'd rather give that to Hardy.

Same here. Guys like Hardy are tough to find, if the team is comfortable with his character there is no reason to let him walk provided he is consistent the rest of the year.

The problem with this is, who are you going to replace Claiborne with? We let Claiborne go, you're either forced to hold onto Carr or you release him as well.

So, our corners are Scandrick, Jones, White, and Patmon. The FA CBs in 2016 are limited with talent or aging. You have Jenkins and Amukamara, both are on the talent level of Claiborne (Though, I think Jenkins gets burned far too often) and will be asking for similar contracts. So, do we go into the draft looking for a CB...again. This draft class, outside of a CB or two, doesn't look too promising.

Surprisingly, the best option might be locking Claiborne up.

He's a good player, but Mo just slipped on the play.

Cowboys have to do a better job fighting through those picks because teams will continue to run them against us.

Cornerbacks: Tim Jennings, Buccaneers (-6.1) and Morris Claiborne, Cowboys (-4.8)

Jennings was targeted 10 times, and allowed seven catches for 123 yards and two touchdowns. Not a great day at the office for him. He also missed two tackles and had a pass interference penalty. Claiborne was targeted far less, only four times. But, he allowed all four to be completed, and even worse, allowed 80 yards after the catch. When your average catch allowed goes for 30 yards, you definitely didn’t have a great day.

Wow-who knew !!!!

fyi Julian Edelman left Dez off of his top 5 WR in NFL. He did AMA on reddit: Here is his list:

* Odell Beckhman Jr.
* Jordy Nelson
* Julio Jones
* Demaryius Thomas
* Steve Smith

People putting a player with only one year under their belt at the top of a "best" list automatically loses credibility to me.

You could easily argue Dez is better them all of them, however, Steve Smith over Dez is unforgivable.

That or he simply forgot about Dez because he isn't playing.... I.e. outa sight outa mind. Seems most likely to me.

Pff,

Pretty close to the sound I make when I hear about their grades. Bunch of fantasy football geeks that conned noted imbecile Chris Collinsworth into a regrettable purchase. They grade QBs and CBs without the All 22. That's about as useful as my grandma buying a Shelby Mustang.

I thought same thing but Jody Nelson is gone for year and he still made list. I agree that Steve Smith over Dez is surly.

I don't like him. I've stated that from the beginning. I brought up his pff scores 1-2 weeks ago and got bashed for it. With that being said, he's playing good " for him" but I wouldn't give him anything more than 3-4 mill a year.

This is his contract year, so you know he's giving it all he's got.

PFF hasnt been kind to Claiborne this year

Why should any of us be kind to him? I mean really; what has he done? Most of the times the WRs that he's covering drop balls and not because he made a play. But he clearly celebrate on plays he doesn't make and I'm ok with that if it builds his confidence. At this point in the season, I have not seen anything different in Mo's play.

It's just sad to watch a defensive pro football player who can't or won't take the angle to tackle.

My God THIS. It's not like he's Sanders out there making up for poor tackling with shutdown coverage. Even when his guy is NOT the target, he seems to run with the play like a spectator, not a defender. Very frustrating.
