Fans are to quick to dismiss players that struggle or have YET to reach their potential. I'll admit that I've been guilty of it a time or two. Though I'll be cheering on Mo like a mofo. The past be damned.

Is there any other Cowboy players that have turned it around at that point in their careers? Closest I can think is Free, but he already had a decent year under his belt for the slump.

Charlie Waters was almost cut by Tom Landry. He started off as a CB, and spent a full season getting toasted to the point that he never got into gamer action (aside from special teams). Landry moved him to safety, where he took another year to acclimate. He didn't become a starter until his 4th season in the league, but was soon a leader of the defense.

I've been disappointed with Claiborne up to date. But I'm cheering my butt off for him this year. Because if he's doing well that can only be good for my team. Can you imagine if Scandrick balls like he did last year, Byron is everything he is hyped up to be, and Claiborne actually looks like the lsu corner he was? Whoo that would be scary along with our upgraded pass rush. Go get em Mo!

I find it odd to actively cheer for a player whose failures have damaged the franchise. I do not hope he fails, but I am certainly not going to devote mental capital on a player who has yet to show any sort of reliability. I will save the pom pom waving for players that deserve it, not ones I hope perform well just so the player looks like less of a colossal mistake of an acquisition by the organization.

The only thing Claiborne is fighting for is keeping a job in the NFL, collecting a paycheck and not going down as one of thee biggest BUSTS in top ten draft history...

He said all the right things in camp last year too. Guy couldnt play before he got hurt so people expecting him to after are setting themselves up for disapointment IMO.

He had no training camp and got hurt in the beginning of the season. The criticism of Mo is unfair but at the same time I understand it. It just sucks for him we traded a 2nd round pick and used our early first to get him.

So how do you feel about Sean Lee? A pro bowl talent who's unreliable and overpaid?

Damaged the organization? o_O Now that's extreme. Joey Galloway, for all his fanfare and cost to get him could be considered damaging. Not Morris. He was a highly touted prospect that we happened to draft that year. Misses do and will happen from time to time.

As far a deserving of what you define as pom pom waving, every player on the team will be cheered on. Doesn't seem to take much mental capital to want all the Boys to do well. But that's just me.

He gets bashed because he was a top 6 pick and was the consensus best defensive player in that draft.

Overall hes been a ok player but we thought we drafted a All Pro.

you categorily refuse to "actively cheer" him or give any credit to him whatsoever simply because he's damaged the org somehow.

yet, you have no issue at all taking the time to actively run his arse down.

what a maroon.

he gets bashed cause there's a section of fan base who simply choose year in and year out who they will bash given any semi-socially acceptable reason they can gather at the time.

if not mo, it would be someone else. always has been, always will be. to pretend mo is a rarity to these bashers is just kinda giggly funny.

I disagree. I have read that he is a bust everywhere I look except for a few posters on this board. I saw a list a while back that had Mo listed as one of the biggest busts in the last several years for any teams.

He has not lived up to his draft slot. There are a couple of dozen of guys like that every year. You should know... Our past is littered with guys like that.

MO will be in the league... barring severe injury.... For many years.

His rookie year there a few games. Throwing out that 3 career INT's is meaningless because of his health. A liability? I don't see how when we really don't know. The facts are simple - he needs to be healthy, like all CB's he needs a little pass rush help. Until those conditions apply we are left with nothing but questions about his future. The only ones I've seen who say he can't play in the NFL are some of the membership in here.

Stop and think why that is...........Because nobody knows a nobody.

If you can't stay on the field, you're a liability in the football world.

Just like the guy who calls in sick several times a month.

Sean Lee, IMO, is a liability. He makes that defense 10 times better with his IQ alone. He can't stay on the field. Liability.

If you have to go into every season with an athlete and game plan the season without his services, cause his track record proves as such................that's a liability.

It wasn't just once my friend. It's been every season.

Dallas NEEDS this kid to perform. He was a first rounder. He hasn't proved 7th round success.

0% chance he brings anything of value to this team, he's about as big a bust as I've ever seen, and I can't wait for the guy to be shown the door.
