Maybe Kitna can scramble out of the pocket with his cane if he has to go in

Not a bad move. In fact, it's a great move. Kitna spent three years in the system. Makes more sense than to bring in a Caleb Hanie or John Skelton that would be good for little more than a handoff if something were to happen to Orton.

Do you know what he majored in in college? I can't find any mention of it. Wikipedia says he didn't get an athletic scholarship to Central Washington University. But it says nothing about what he studied.

No I don't know what he majored in. Maybe teaching?

I think this speaks volumes about our offense. And the fact that the offense hasn't changed in three years. We bring in some QB who hasn't played in three years because he 'knows' the offense. Yeah, well, so does the whole league. Like Ray Lewis said about the Cowboys and being predictable.

This signing stinks. Get some QB who can run. Stephen McGee would have been a better choice. If Orton would get hurt, you need someone to run the wildcat.

Some of you just don't understand. The reason Kitna was signed is bc he knows the playbook. If Orton goes down the other free agents wouldn't know the difference from run or pass; can't learn a playbook in 4 days.

I think Kitna maybe played a few series against the 49ers in 2011, when Romo came back in with the rib inujury, but that was about it.

Yep, he played and threw a beauty of a TD to Miles in the corner of the endzone...I am happy with this signing...

The Cowboys ran the same offensive system throughout the 1990's and won three Super Bowls. They had three running plays- Emmitt Smith off tackle, Emmitt Smith up the middle, and the lead draw. They hardly ever ran a counter or trap, if I recall correctly. Teams don't change their schemes every two or three years.
