An additional first round pick in each of the next two drafts would be significant in the hands of a capable GM. They aren’t worth much in the hands of Jerry Jones. The problem with building through the draft is it doesn’t work if your GM is an idiot. Clark wasn’t good last year. He was 83rd amongst tackles against the run.

It was, by a large distance, his worst season as a pro. This was well known at the time of the trade.

We were just hoping it was due to an injury and that he would return to his previous level.

Unfortunately he had not.
