Clark is a terrible trade

The scheme being run is a large cause of it. We should be running a gap sound attacking man scheme.
Right correct Our entire defensive roster forgot how to play football they forgot how to tackle they forgot how to cover they forgot how to line up it's all them it's the entire roster we need to dump all is there what 27 maybe 30 defensive players just throwing the trash tomorrow and let Matt pick his new roster out of whatever's left on practice squads and free agents and then see if they play better..

Some of these guys like Duron Bland and guys like Fowler were having career years in Dan Quinn's defense even though Dan Quinn's defense also sucked against the run at least they put pressure on and caused turnovers and beat up the quarterbacks made the quarterbacks throw being uncomfortable... There are quite a few players leftover from Dan Quinn's defenses here or they're playing for him over there and they're not having the same problem it's kind of odd right the irony our entire roster forgot how to play defense they forgot how to play football...

Clark is a good player. He didn't suddenly just get bad. The guy has been a beast in GB up to last year. So don't tell me he's cooked. Something is terribly wrong on Dallas. I'm looking at Eberflus.

Eh, last year he looked washed. It was just something where it was to be determined if it was injury or just declining before 30.

Clark wasn’t good last year. He was 83rd amongst tackles against the run.

It was, by a large distance, his worst season as a pro. This was well known at the time of the trade.

We were just hoping it was due to an injury and that he would return to his previous level.

Unfortunately he had not.
He's playing good enough. He's the last guy I'm looking at. I'm first firing eberflus. Then as another poster suggested, elevating Nick Sorenson to DC. Then he needs to ditch that zone stuff.

He's a nice bridge player and better than the trash we already had.

Played with a broken toe some of y'all need to figure this out that before he broke his toe he was playing well and the year before that the year before that he played very well but somehow you're blaming him he has very good stats for a nose tackle this is a scheme problem and you guys can keep talking and you're going to still make yourself look even worse keep digging that hole the football high two around here is getting smaller and smaller...

IN 5 games hmmm

In the 2025 NFL regular season, Micah Parsons has 4 solo tackles and 2.5 sacks. He has also recorded 0 forced fumbles and 0 interceptions.

First of all Clark is a nose tackle but once check out those stats the 2nd level that would be Clark pretty bad that your nose tackle has almost better stats as a elite premium super super duper defensive end the pass rush specialist...

.... You can use your eyes sure tell me what you think was the mistake yesterday who was really at fault yesterday because you think you saw something sure with your eyes I can see where you would just blame the nose tackle not any not the scheme not a weird 3 down alignment a 4 down alignment with no help whatsoever and trying to tell me this man can't play football and his stats are almost as good as Parsons and he's just a lowly interior nose tackle...

You guys will find a way to wake up in the morning or last night late just pick out a player like this and just blame it on him and then say this is why we shouldn't made the trade when you're not even bringing in the money we saved and the two first round picks that are still going to be used this is not a done deal we haven't seen the fruits of this trade yet but I put their stats below I'm gonna tell you it's sad that you're gonna bring up how many pressures and the impact that Parsons has on his defense and I'm gonna tell you I watched some of these Green Bay games and they have the same exact record without him that's a fact he has not had an impact game like truly literally it just blew up the entire offense's game plan and won a game for them that they were in the same team with him and without him i'm sure down the road he'll make an impact but right now he's just a good pass rusher But he hasn't done a single thing over there that has impressed me because when he was here he was a great pass rusher but also part of a lot of damn defense that look just like yesterday

Parsons
  • Solo Tackles: 4
  • Sacks: 2.5
  • Forced Fumbles: 0
    • Interceptions: 0
Clark below
  • Solo Tackles: 6
  • Sacks: 1.5
  • Tackles for Loss (TFL): 2.0
    • Forced Fumbles: 0
    • Games Played: 5

Exactly. Whatever we get out of Clark is gravy. Picks are King.
In the money literally we're gonna use the money and we already have to sign some of our other players we'll use it in free agency I know it won't be the players they want but look what we did with Williams we've done it with Kendricks they can bring in a player with the extra money also don't count out the fact that some of these pass rushers are better than they look because they're in the wrong scheme these game plans are horrible Trying to tell me all these guys forgot how to rush the passer tackle sack and cover just overnight they just literally forgot how to play football.

Exactly. Scheme can make players look like dog doo or like world beaters

Additional picks was not on the table.
Jerry got the better deal in the long run.
You can keep trying to convince yourself of that, but it doesn't make it true. GB would have easily given up two more picks in the middle rounds because they were making an all-in move with Parsons. Jerry didn't maximize value because he's a moron who has no idea about these kinds of things. 30 years proves that point.

Exactly. Jerry was flim-flammed, hornswaggled, & scallywagged by the Packers.
Wrong.
Fans hate Jerry so much, they can't even admit he came out better on the trade.
So they try to justify it to themselves, and try to convince others to follow them to they edge of the cliff.

Sad thing, is that's not saying much.

This Front office really was content rolling with Smith, Toia, Osa and Thomas until Parsons started acting out.

If he's average, that's like two skill levels higher than what Mazi ever brought.

I don't have to try to convince myself of anything. Because I know I am correct.
See my post above #113.

Idiot EBERSUCK asked Clark to cover both threats . Left and right possible options. Then the scheme asked Bland to cover a probable slant 8 yards back. When the offense only needed 3. No DC in their right mind would of ran this type of scheme at this moment. Amateur at best from a so-called vet DC!!

Sure, if you have a competent GM, picks are great.
Lord...ok yes but understand the real GM is Will McClay. In reality it's a 3 headed hydra of McClay, Stephen, Jerry. That's our GM. They listen to McClay. So if we wanna blame anyone it's really McClay. Jerry is just the PR front man. Takes the blame, credit.

Bingo. That right here should get that idiot fired today. He can't be in Dallas another day.

Right explain to the world how Sam Darnold Baker Mayfield and now Daniel Jones all of a sudden look like Pro Bowlers elsewhere You tell me it was them it was all them or was it their scheme in the play collar and the coach because I'm looking at the Giants right now and I'd say it's probably mostly what's coaching staff...

For at the time the GM did not get them enough talent.

We could do that with a lot of players they seem to all of a sudden flourish somewhere else I know George Pickens look pretty good in Pittsburgh but now he looks like a superstar here why because he has a better quarterback and he's in a better offense he clearly said that they didn't let him run the route trees over there they just threw a bunch of jump balls and expected him just to guess where he's supposed to be running most of the time he had like two routes...

We can do this all day yes some of it is the players we get it But a lot of it to me is the defensive coordinator whether it's all on him or not he needs to like Mike Zimmer did by mid season was able to take a bunch of misfits from Dan Quinn's leftovers and he figured out a way to make them look respectable that's all we need around here with an offense like we have just make them look respectable..

Doesn't look like respectable that looks like a high school defense that looks like something we saw in preseason that never ever took off the vanilla looks this looks like preseason... Not even trying against the Jets I started getting hope well maybe they will stunt maybe they will play 5 guys down on the line they will blitz maybe they're going to try to more effort in the create pressure and then they come back the next week and go right back to the nonsense...
