Vtwin;3208412 said:And that was a pretty weak call imo. Maybe letting the later one go was the ref evening things up.
Chocolate Lab;3208370 said:That was one of the cheapest, dirtiest hits I've seen in a long time, especially on a QB. The way QBs are protected these days, not calling that was absolutely inexcusable.
It was clear to me the Eagles were trying to hurt him for the next week, and they almost got away with it.

Vtwin;3208431 said:I hate "automatic" penalties.
There was some very light contact and since it happened they had to call it.
Still pretty weak imo.
If the same thing was called against us I'm betting there would be some fan reaction.
The uncalled one was far more blatant and dangerous.
AbeBeta;3208425 said:and ... I've said this before .. it is on Wade to go ****ing bat **** crazy when that happens. I have noted repeatedly that you are not working the present ref crew but you are working the next batch. This is especially important when you are going to be facing the same opponent again and you've got one of the better officiating crews in the league coming in (Hercules might have screwed up last year, but his crew is better than most). You have to make a big deal of this on the field and later in the week to the league - if you work it right, it buys calls later on.

ShiningStar;3208440 said:he did that after the first washington game, what did that get him, an apology from the league, big deal, if you lose a game but was cheated from the poor job by the refs you still lose, just because we win doesnt mean the league can sweep it under and thats what they did. SO what would going Bat crazy on a league and a league leader who doesnt care going to do?
adbutcher;3208435 said:No because we understand the rule.

dbair1967;3208461 said:The same stuff is called against us, quite often. The problem is usually they dont reciprocate the picky calls. Like those two really weak holding calls on us that wiped out big plays by Felix Jones last week.
For a LONG time, there have been pretty significant discrepencies in the number of holding calls for and against us, as well as things like PI and illegal contact. Its also comical some of the dirty hits we've seen go uncalled on our guys this yr.
Vtwin;3208466 said:I agree.
Took about a half hour for the dogs to come back in the room after that weak holding call that brought back the big Felix gain.
