i know how we can have a better year. be undefeated at home! imagine that. 8-0! if we're able to be undefeated at home then odds are we just need to win three or possibly two on the road and we make post season! i've noticed us dallas fans are not too much of cheerers unlike the scum**** at ny or philly. we should take advantage of our new stadium and not only fill it up to cap but be the loudest ever w/ hopefully 100,000+ present! now THAT really is a home field advantage. cmon guys cheer on that 3rd down! (when the opposing team has the football tho!).....

The problem with our fans is that they'll cheer when we're on offense...I wouldn't encourage them too much. :laugh1:

too many uppity cowboys fans at the games, if they real fans like you and me at the games we would be the loudest in the league.

actually i would like it if we would make noise on every down and not wait till 3rd down.
i also blame the stadium announcer and whoever runs the video boards and chooses when to play music, make announcements. it seems like whenever
the fans need to start making noise the stadium does something to distract
their attention.
since i am talking about it, we could also start making the noise just a bit sooner, there is no rule that says you have to wait until the opposing team
breaks the huddle and starts for the line before you are allowed to scream
your fool head off.
and before anybody asks, yes i do go to the games and yes it has been loud before but that doesnt mean we cant do better !

oh yeah it would be great if they never show that insurance commercial
where people are singing....feeling kind of sunday in a la-la-la voice.
doesnt really fire anybody up.

We have some of the quietest fans in the league, it makes me sick when I go to other teams stadiums and hear how loud their fans get from start to finish, then compare them to our fans. We really have a lot of work to do as a fanbase.

Dey may be some uppity but when da offense roll and our TEs get off the chillator preseason ride dey play better than the Steelers! That blues go away when our offense dey start rolling!
And Ware be killing and not chilling on defense!l

They interviewed Patrick Willis and he agreed with the lady who interviewed him on the field that the place was extremely loud and it was tough for him to hear the mic in his helmet.. so I'm really not sure what the deal is.

Patrick Willis is also a lifelong Cowboys fan. I've been there for both games, not that loud when compared to places like KC, Cleveland, and Buffalo.

Well the sideline reporter is the one that pointed it out. I doubt Willis would just say it was loud for fun.

I don't think we'll ever compare to a team like KC, but that place is going to be rocking with 115,000+ people for Sunday Night Football against a team we hate. If it isn't, I will be totally shocked.

I'm from the Northeast, so the only game I ever went to in Texas Stadium was Cowboys/Eagles Monday Night Football in 2004, where TO went crazy on us, when McNabb ran around the backfield for what seemed like an eternity, etc.. we lost 49-28 or 49-21, something like that.

Anyways, that place was loud as hell when we started off trading scores back and forth. Once McNabb pulled off that play, it went down in volume big time.

The place was much louder than the Meadowlands, that's for sure. Small sample for me, but that's all I have to go by.

i also have attended one game: 2007 home opener vs giants. when i was there it did seem loud but when i watch the game on tv (99% of the time) it seems like the opposing team has MORE fans than we do at HOME!)

When I got to go, Crazy Ray and his towel kept what ever section he was in whooping and hollering pretty good .
Get more section leaders ,warm all the prim and propers up with some waves ,(what ever happened to those?)horns blowing CHARGE,or better still put the video board to use .
TV shows turn on a sign that tell you when to applaude.
Ours should put up D-FENSE and such like.Follow the bouncing ball cheers like in high school. Just my thoughts!

I have been to many games and there have been time the crowds have sat on their hands and other games the crowd was rocking through out. For me I loose my voice the following day after the game

Our fans are loud enough. They are classy people who are there to watch the game and cheer when good things happen. They are not insane drunkards who are chucking batteries and trying to get in fights in the stand with anyone in an opposing team jersey.

This preposterous mythos that we need a 100,000 person Dog Pound to have an effect is just ridiciulous. The place will be fuller in regular season games and the cheering will be loud enough.

If you want to be surrounded by foaming-at-the-mouth drunks who scream for 3 hours straight, then go be a Phily fan or something.

Our fans are loud enough. I wish everyone would quit whining about this.

There is a problem on them knowing when to cheer and when not to. I went to the first game and the crowd got louder when our guys had the ball in the redzone.

In the second game, Colombo's false start in the redzone looked to be because of the crowd getting too loud.

:signmast:

My biggest gripe with our fans is cheering the loudest when we have the ball. I know everyone is thinking "Come on!!!" but they shouldn't actually yell it.

But having been to the new stadium, I think the Party Passes will sell out, and that will be 30,000 diehards who will scream their lungs out. Add that to the fact that we basically have a dome now, and I think it will be plenty loud for opposing teams.

I agree that is it foolish for people to be doing the wave when our offense has the ball. I would like to see some of the same enthusiasm as I have seen at college games places like LSU where the stadium is just rocking.

It would be great if Cowboys Stadium earns a reputation as a loud place that opposing teams dread visiting. The videoboard already has them losing their minds. Walking through the fans before introductions has their panties in a wad. Imagine what 100,000 screaming fans will do to them. I agree with the OP. Let's start a reputation as the Cowboys 12th man.

Screw that. I would HATE THAT. The reason why college games are that way is because they are full of frat-tastic IDIOT college kids who have been drinking for 10 straight hours and have no idea what is going on besides yelling indiscriminately. Once you grow up, you realize how pathetic and obnoxious that kind of behavior is.

I'll take the class of Cowboys fans--where I can take my kid and who are still plenty loud enough to have an effect on the game--over the disgustingly drunken madhouses that you see at college games (or at Philly games for that matter).

If you want to get bombed and yell at the top of your lungs, go to a karaoke bar.
