I know some on here cited cashflow and the amount of the guaranteed money that had to be escrowed as a reason for the signing delays of the big 3...however, after looking at the annual revenue, EBITDA and % of debt to value, I doubt the cowboys have any trouble finding the liquid assets to escrow.

Cowboys EBITDA more than double the next team and this after sucking for 3 decades.

Don't know how to post it but the first thing that popped into my mind was the still shot of the old man in the Opening Credits of "Cheers" holding a sign that says "We win".

That crazy old man is Jerry

There is zero reason why the Cowboys should not be in the Top 10 in terms of cash spent on this roster. They have no excuse from a cash flow perspective to not dish out the cash like some other teams do.

They either just suck at working the cap like their peers OR they work the cap in a way to dupe fans into thinking they really invest as much in their roster as other teams. Neither is ideal for Cowboys fans.

They all count. Like the 1 that the Eagles have in their entire history.
I am not hating on Jerry. He turned the Cowboys into a 10 billion dollar juggernaut. We all wish we could have done the same.

What makes this so remarkable is the Cowboys have not won a championship in almost 30 years, and they still hold their value. What other product can consistently show mediocre quality and maintain its premium price tag?

Yeah baby.. :flagwave: or as Jerry calls it, his own personal Super Bowl. When is the parade?

He needs to alter the helmets with a $ on top of the star. More appropriate and reflective of his goal.

He should get a nice big parade down Wall Street.

Finding the money and spending the money are two different things. They have the money, they choose to not spend it.

I'm one of the people that brought that up. You're most likely right. I only brought it up as a possibility to try to make sense of things. It's also only one of several possibilities.

The Cowboys are quick to sign players not at top market value. But when it comes to big contracts, they drag it out.
