Coach Garrett Nick Saban inside info

I've always been skeptical of 'Bama players...do a google search on Alabama players in the NFL...there's a hundred or so and change. Read through the list and see how many you recognize? Winning college championships doesn't always translate...the depth of those 'Bama teams and 5 star recruits amazes..sometimes you have to wonder if each individual player reached their potential considering whom he was lining up beside.

But you can here the announcers laughing in his face over the years wondering on occasion what the heck he is doing. And Jimmy Johnson certainly threw in a few barbs towards Garrett.

Jimmy throws barbs at any Cowboys coach besides himself.

It seems more like a Jerry move than a Garrett one. Garrett at least seems like he tries to practice what he preaches.

It was a decision thoroughly vetted by Garrett. Garrett stated many times that he reached out to Saban before they traded for McClain.

Henry has looked good in preseason though and he doesn't have the benefit of running behind our OL. I know it's not the regular season and I would keep Zeke over Henry but he hasn't looked bad.

Tennessee gonna have a great run game this year, most likely second behind us with Murray and Henry

Sometimes coaches feel like father figures to players and want to help them any way they can. I guess McClain and Saban have that kind of relationship. Sadly McClain seems to have lost the passion for football and is seeking other things to fill whatever he feels is missing in his life.

He would have been fired long ago if not for Jerry and he wouldn't have had absolute control of the offense for as long as he did, nor have had his brother prompted from TE coach to passing game coordinator in one year if not for Jerry.

I dont like Garrett as a coach. And the father reference is to McClain where guys said he was missing OTA's because he was a good father. Both sarcastic digs.

It was reported that McClain did spend OTAs with his family. The whole story on him is that he wanted to be close to his family.
