It's not a what if... it's a what is... Philly won their last four games to win the division with reserves from the Texas School for the Blind... we were inept...
I cannot stomach Garrett. As a head coach you make the proper changes to fix the problem. If what you said was true about Richard than Garrett should have done something. Why didn't he? If your the head coach and you can find solutions to the problem... you end up being the problem. That was the hallmark to Garrett's tenure. He let things get out of control and did nothing.
Cooper said he could have stretched the defense all day long last week, but we were calling stop patterns... this is why they need to go...
Yet you start another post with 10 posts on the first page belonging to you. I guess that's how you got to 15,000 posts and have all the answers. Maybe you should actually be talking to Jerry instead of other people on a chat board expressing their opinions?
Garrett never had problem scoring with Tony? Defense was the issue? Still trying to sway the folks away from the real reason we fell on our faces! 80% QB play. 20 % Coaching Defense was top 10 most of the season so I'll take that as a non-reason. Where's Xwalker when you need him the most????
If you truly want to know what ruined the season, don't just look at the last season, look at the last 24 seasons. Therein lies the answer.
When you just put guys together instead of them hiring their own people, this is exactly what happens. This mess belongs to Jerry.
Honestly I finally figured out why Garrett looks so stupid on the sidelines this year. I believe a part of him really wants out of this situation. Lol
Dez obviously caught the ball. But do you honestly think that we win that game even if it's ruled a TD? There were over 4 minutes left in the game and the Packers would just need a field goal. As a matter of fact we couldn't even get a stop after the bogus ruling to get the ball back for another chance at a score. Brad Schramm pointed out that a lot of fans think that it was at the very end of the game. He also pointed out that "the catch" Dwight Clark made for the 49ers was also not at the end of the game. We still had chances to win both of those and failed miserably.
I agree coaching is a huge part of the problem, as there are far too many decisions or plays that left everyone head scratching. However, let’s not sugar coat this and point the blame at the coaches and FO only. Yes with the “talent” this team has the expectations were higher. However, as a player you have to go out there week in and week out and give 100% all the time. Which unfortunately no one save a few names did. As a player you have to play for winning a game and getting to a championship. Not for how many endorsements you can get and for showboating on the field. It’s a brutal sport and it takes its toll on the human body but you have to have the desire to overcome it... Walter Payton played behind a pathetic O-line most of his career and yet he excelled, as did Sanders, the list is long of examples. Any of you think our $90 million clown plays with the same intensity? If you do go watch some old video of Emmitt playing with a dislocated shoulder to wake you up out of your daydreams. Coaching makes a difference but players talent and heart can overcome mediocre coaching.
There was still a ton of time left in that game. Nothing says we actually stop one legged Rodgers when we couldn't that day if the call is upheld. Imho green Bay wins regardless of the outcome of that play.
All season long this was happening and it just made me sick to see the Cowboys get a team in 3rd and 12 and it became a first down.
