I'm not sure I would defend anyone on this coaching staff. Obviously Zimmer needs to go, replaced by someone with 3-4 experience. No way we go back to 4-3. An assistant with someone like SD, Pittsburgh or NE (places that know how to run a 3-4) would be nice. On offense, I never did like this 3 Offensive Coordinator routine (Palmer, Sprano, BP). Either pick one guy and give him the reins or fire all 3 and get someone else. As for BP, I respect the guy and appreciate him raising the talent level from the Campo Era- but his time has passed. A team often assumes the identity of its coach- when is the last time you saw Bill fired up on the sidelines? For the life of me I can't figure out how a team playing at home, on National TV, for the division title, can't be fired up- maybe it's because their coach isn't.

I think you are right. This one was on the coaches, maybe all of them. This was a big game, and nobody was jumping around all hyper and everything. I didn't like Parcells earlier in the season, and like him even less now. Why wouldn't he have an offensive coordinator? How many teams who are successful run their offense by committee. Even Sean Peyton wasn't the "offensive coordinator" last year.

Zimmer was pretty good with the 4-3. It's obvious the 3-4 isn't his thing, OR, the talent they have amassed isn't right for the 3-4. Parcells is running a very conservative ship, but when they do blitz, they stumble and fall. I don't know the answer, but if Henry is hurt and can't run, why was he out there? Doesn't he have a backup? Spears needs to sit on the bench, and become a situational player. He hasn't done anything yet other than impress the coaches in practice. His gametime successes are minimal.

I hope Jerry does pull the plug on this coaching staff. They are not capable of meeting the demands of the NFL in the 2000s. They are coaching like the '95 Giants.

Ok, that's my rant.

I don't understand the hatred towards the offensive coaches. We've got a WR playing practically with one hand, a QB in his first year, a left guard and right tackle in their first real year with the offense and we're 4th in points scored per game. Yes, the Philly game was a bad job of playcalling...but we have a creative and versatile offense....probably the most versatile offense in all of football from a formation and personnel standpoint...and the O-Line has improved quite a bit from the past few years.

We need to get rid of Zimmer. He can't get his teams to rush the passer and they fold like a cheap suit every year in the second half of the season. Jerry has:

1. Changed head coaches

2. Changed defensive schemes

3. Got better pass rushers (Ware)

4. Gotten better CB's

5. Has paid the money to get the offense improved, thus making it so opposing teams will have to pass the ball to keep up.

Yet we are on pace for a measly 30 sacks this season. Zimmer's defenses have averaged 29 sacks in his time as D-Coordinator. He needs to go. Then we need to find somebody who is a good D-Coordinator that can get his defenses to sack the QB.

The ability to make adjustments and disguise blitzes would be a plus as well...

Your missing the point. Complaining is what most people do best.

Facts and stats are not important when they dont favor the haters agenda.

All that matters right now is that philly beat us and we suck, now the same people will be saying we will win the super bowl after we beat detroit.

That is where the problem lies. THis team was a work in progress going into this season. Lot of good players and good things happening, but alot of learning left to be had and alot of people who needed to prove themselves. Its a process, I believe we are somewhere in the middle on this process right now. It takes time.

Most people dont have time to be patient. Reality is a difficult pill to swallow.

Throw in espn and other people overhyping the team, and the people who watch and listen to those stations blindly start believing we should win the superbowl.

I like our chances in seattle, after that it is a toss up and that is about where this team is at. I wish others would see that. And this doesnt make losing ok, especially the way we have the last 2 times, but it maybe part of progress. Maybe it is just a rude awakening, that the talent and the coaches are not any good. I happen to think it is just part of the progress

The 99 rams and 00 ravens were the worst things to ever happen to the nfl. It created a whole new generation of impatient nfl fans and it skewed the league in a negative direction.
