Coaching Is The Problem...

I read an earlier thread that it is Drews fault and yes he has a little of the blame because of the great picks he threw againts the Seahawks and Denver. But before Flo went down, I was even bragging to my Bills fan buddy at work that Drew was going to the probowl and all that noise. Now, the line has been what it has been since around week six and its up to our innept coaches to figure out the plays to make Drew as well as the offense as a whole to prosper. They have had basically 2 buy weeks to figure this out before the big showdown against the Giants and they look like they have digressed. In the real business world, these figure heads recieve the axe for such a collapse. We will see what happens the rest of the year if these guys can't coach the players they have on the field.

Nada.

In the real business world, the figure heads grant themselves retaining bonuses, strip employees of benefits to improve their bottom line, target said employees for company failure, petition the government for a bailout, and continue on by workforce reduction and moving operations to tax shelter and eco friendly areas.

Next analogy please.

Well, yes you are right. But after they uses up all those great scapegoat avenues they they get the axe or the hatchet or club fed.

Not that anyone should make excuses for their injuries, but we should be glad Chiefs fans flocked here in full force recently-even THEY admitted that when their LT(Roaf) went down, their O changed EVERYTHING. Am surprised 90% of posters here(including myself) kept over-looking sans Flo in the midst of all this Drew/Parcells/Pettiti/Rivera, etc bashing.

It does really make alot of sense-w/o that LT, the QB won't put his full concetration on reading D's(part of it will be fearing blind-sided pressure), D's will also ANTICIPATE that bootleg more(when Flo was in there, the bootleg worked very effectively, but not anymore), and extra blockers up front = less receivers in the open field(which was why Gonzales was non-existent for awhile).

We'll see what happens today. Maybe Parcells and Payton come up with something, I dunno.

Every QB worries about blindside hits. That is why LT is always such a premium position on the line. That is why the Hotel got that big contract because he was a good sometimes better then that LT. That is why we could protect Pettiti early in the season. And since the QB is facing the RT if someone gets free he does have a moment or two to do something- if nothing else fall down. BUT a blindside rush is totally different.

Alot of people here(including myself) have been throwing stones at him for the last year, and then to jump with glee when he went out for the year.

Sure, he may not have been in the game mentally at times(his false starts and holding calls, like the one against Wash, have costed us games). However-he IS the leader and glue to this OL. He has everyone's trust, especially Bledsoe's. And he's been our most consistent blocker to boot.

Tucker is fine, and hopefully, he'll become a bona-fide starter someday, somewhere. But for now, he hasn't established his stripes nor has gained anyone's trust.

Being 6' 7" and 357 pounds helps a little bit too...

I do agree with your post... that scenario seems to be quickly overlooked.

Tell that to ESPN.

When Roaf went down for several weeks, they still went on and on how Gonzales was a dissapointment, how Green was slacking off, etc. Now that Roaf is healthy again, they're somehow back on Gonzales' band-wagon.

And really, for the position he plays, the contract he got wasn't that big.
