Coaching Staffs lack of confidence in Dak handcuffing him

Dak's handcuffs are self-inflicted. He holds the ball forever. He's a rookie. That's what they do.

I don't think the coaching staff was doing him any favors with the down field routes either. This felt like another game where Dez was running a lot of go routes.

Witten and Beasley seem to be gone from the game plan the last 2 weeks as well.

Keep making excuses because the games don't get easier...especially come playoff time.

This team should be thinking SB and if Dak keeps playing the way he has the past few weeks this team won't win a playoff game.

Give him one more game and if he stinks it up he goes to the bench.

I guess the Giants should bench Eli too since he played piss poor last night. Except his was a home game.

Ridiculous argument. I guess it's ok to suck as long as the QB on the opposing team sucked too?

Not to mention the two situations are completely different.

That's what defenses are doing to is now. Playing the middle of the field heavy. Taking away Dak's comfort zones.

You dont get the cuffs taken off, when you throw a prayer to the middle of the field into double coverage. If anything the cuffs get tighter.
So, what did you say when Romo has done this many times? I'm just curious, cause you honestly can't think Romo has NEVER thrown into double coverage, right?

Why are we throwing curl routes with a slippery ball and slick field conditions on 3rd and 2 ???

Because generally in those conditions the offensive player has the advantage since he knows where he is going. Not really mad at how the game was called as much as with the execution on offense. I was not happy with not playing Zeke on 3rd downs due to his ability to pass pro.

Sometimes you have to throw receivers open. You've watched Romo do that for years. Open in the NFL is not the same thing as open in college.

You can't do that in bad weather you saw guys slipping and dropping balls all night. I've seen Romo force some bad throws trying to throw guys open as well. I'm not gonna criticize Dak for having a bad game in 20 degree weather. Derek Carr looked terrible against Kansas City the other night too because it was cold.

He looks lost right now. He's a rookie. He should be.

Teams have figured him out.

The defenses are going to continue to blitz, bring pressure, and jump his shorter routes. They know that's what he's going to struggle against because he struggles a bit more with the accuracy on the medium and deep throws.

Until he starts consistently beating defenses on medium and long throws, to force them out of it, they're going to continue to play him this way. I believe he will eventually get it, and learn, and get better from it.

But I just don't believe that's going to happen this season.

Not about what Romo has done or not. It's the fact that pass had no business ever being thrown by anyone.

Just what I thought. Every QB has done it. Maybe his thought was Dez would out jump them. I'm not sure. I wouldn't have thrown it, but people talk about throw it to Dez for the jump ball but when it's an interception, then it's....it should have never been thrown.

Dez wasn't within 10 yards of the pass, that's not a jump ball, just an awful throw

The Coaching staff is showing zero confidence in Dak putting out vanilla game plans that are stifling Daks ability to preform. They are not asking Dak to win rather don't loose. In the meantime they are now 2 for 25 on third down the last 2 games. Dak has not thrown for more than 200 yards in last two games and has only two 300 yrd games this season. The game plans look like a coaching staff with a game manager and a top ten defense except this is not a top ten defense. If you have such a lack of confidence in Dak then play Romo or simply take Daks handcuffs off. The dismal lack of offensive production lies at the feet of a coaching playing not to loose. I blame Garrett n Linehan. Take the cuffs off let Dak play.

Bull. They have let him loose case in point deep in our end with IDK 40 seconds left before the end of the 1st half last night they let him try to get a FG before the half. They could have easily said ground the ball and run out the half. He is missing receivers that are open and most of the time doesn't see the whole field which could have been big plays.

Watch the play again....Dez quit on the route! Geeesh!

Not true.. I posted the video..

First of all, the underneath route was open and Dak ignored it.

Second, Dak threw into the center of the field at the safety playing deep and overthrew Dez by a lot. He threw it right to the safety.

Third, Jenkins had inside leverage blocking off any chance of Dez even going to the middle.

Dak didn't throw it to more to the sideline to give Dez a chance.

It wasn't even close to Dez's fault. Absolute blinders caused by Dak love to put that on Dez..

Did it cross your mind that it might be Dak's lack of developed skill as a rookie is the reason why they keep it simple. He was missing open receivers on the simple rollouts where he only had to read half a field yet you think he can handle the whole field. Nevermind any pressure and his footwork goes in the toilet.
