what's the deal with him ? I like will fuller from ND too but if he's gone I think we should target Coleman. In fact , I really like some things about him better. He looks like the perfect #2 WR that can really stretch the field. Now , Im saying this all from viewing his amazing youtube videos . Any Baylor fans that can tell us more about him?

Ps Can someone post some highlights of him so we can see him ! I don't know how to do it lol .

Ehh, he's a slight speed receiver with a limited route tree. He does have outstanding speed, but there are several receivers that I'd take before Coleman.

Me too just thinking of value , he could be a steal in the 3rd /4th .

That's odd, I thought I had heard the knock on Coleman was his speed but he was otherwise well rounded...

In this age of the NFL, a 5'11" receiver really doesn't bother me at all, particularly when we already have a physically dominant, possession guy in Dez Bryant. If Coleman runs a low 4.4, I would have no problem taking him in the middle rounds.

Whatever WR we draft I want him to be a capable return guy as well. Our return game this year was pathetic. I hope I never have to witness Beasley fielding another punt

You mean like that Whitehead guy, maybe?

If he is the answer why did we wait until week 10 to plug him in the return game? If they had any confidence in him that switch would have been made very early in the season.

Maybe one that can be used for more than jet sweep handoffs.

Read the thread. He said he wanted a receiver who could be used in the return game.

That's not a matter of talent, which Whitehead clearly displayed when put back there. That is a matter of decision making by the coaches. Do you think they're suddenly going to trust another rookie to come in and handle return duties?

I agree. I would prefer a WR that can handle return duties and is talented enough to be used in the passing game as well. I want a deep ball home run threat. I don't think Lucky can be that.

.... and Whitehead showed his ability to be a great return guy. He just needs to know when to FC.

I am just guessing he wants a reciever that runs routes and catches passes. I know, crazy.

You guys aren't even reading the thread. You're just responding to argue and be snarky.

My point was, we have a receiver on the roster who is a good return man and he isn't going anywhere. I don't see any reason to add that as a criteria for another receiver. Also, given how long it took them to trust Lucky, I don't think another rookie receiver is going to have much shot.

What this team needs is A) a complete offensive redesign and B) a guy who they trust to take the top off the defense.

You're absolutely correct sir. Whitehead is penciled in as the return man next season . We do not need another guy . What we need is an exceptional deep play WR ! A guy who can run good routes and fly down field.

Eureka, breakthrough! haha

I absolutely agree. I do, however, wonder if Brice Butler can be that guy. He ran a 4.37 median and a low 4.27. Are we going to find a guy in this draft with better jets than that? Luckily, now we know he can catch the ball after the last couple weeks.

It's hard to say if Butler is it. I think he has the qualities but if an exceptional talent is there in the 2nd take him. 1 is none and 2 is one. The steelers have multiple guys who can do this and it doesn't hurt their offense ;)

The Steelers also did it with mid round picks. I wish I trusted our guys to do that. Then again, Tomlin has show he actually has the juevos to play the young guys.

Coleman will be drafted waaay before the middle rounds. He should be a late first early 2nd pick and only reason he falls that far is because of his sports hernia surgery. The guy only won the Biletnikoff (best WR in college) and scored an insane amount of TDs (20) in 2015.
