Wentz is an elite athletic talent. You aren’t taken #2 overall without being an elite athletic talent. Especially when coming from a small school.

Dak is also an elite athlete though, who has gotten stronger and faster since the draft. Anybody who watches Dak play and run in the NFL can tell he is an elite athlete. You don’t do the things he does without being one. He is just shorter than Wentz.

Elite athletic talent is not the most important factor in great QB play though. For either of these guys.

Yep.. Work ethic is also huge with these QB's which is another thing I loved about Wentz. He was always going to give it everything he has.

A lot of people liked Paxton Lynch but I was not a fan for several reasons. His work ethic seems to be the #1 thing stopping his development.

It makes no difference because its just a matter of opinion. The only thing that drives me crazy is if your not a cowboy than you stink. To me thats insane. This team is stuggling right now and people seem to care about who is better. Its makes no differnece. Lets focus on what we have and win some games. If any writer or ex player bashes the Cowboys than people here crucify them. But to them we are the best and better than everyone else. This team has won nothing. To me thats all that should matter. Lets focus on. Winning some games. Who cares if this giy is better than your guy. Thats my only point

Not caring about someone's opinion is very different than not caring if one guy is better than another.

We shall see. I don’t think Wentz is necessarily the “better athlete”. Wentz is taller. But Dak is thicker and stronger.

Their scrambling agility and speed are about the same.

Wentz’s arm is stronger but Dak’s is strong enough to make all the throws and make them on the run.

Wentz is better from the pocket thus far. Dak is better on the move.

Both QB’s struggle with the long ball at times and miss open receivers down field. That’s something both guys have to improve on.

Wentz has fumbled a lot so far in his career.

I wanted Wentz bad last year before the eagles trade up happened.

But anybody saying wentz is clearly better than Dak is just speculating because that hasn’t been the case thus far.

The bigger issue is not only did he give Wentz a higher grade, but Goff and Watson as well.

Man are we bored or what? You take anything the "old sound bite king" says seriously? BTW he claims to have been a QB in high school and looks like he is made of bread sticks. If he was high school QB I'd hate to see the rest rest of the team.

Probably one of those 8-man football teams where every play on the sheet is just "give the ball to Robby; he's fast"

The bigger issue is not only did he give Wentz a higher grade, but Goff and Watson as well.

True he did. I think his whole premise was about ranking the QBs as he sees their careers turning out when it's all said and done. It's too easy to get too high or low on a guy after just one season. Look at RG3 and Peyton Manning. One had a great rookie year, the other threw 26 INTs setting the all-time rookie record.

I think I pretty much agree with his ranking but it's still early. He's higher on Watson than I am...I'm unsure on Goff. I agree with him about Dak's leadership intangibles. That will always give the Cowboys hope. I don't see him fading like RG3 did...he is more mature. I also agree with Colin that Wentz's ceiling is the highest of the bunch.

I disagree with Colin on Wentz being the next Rodgers and I'm not saying that as a knock on Wentz. Rodgers isnt a once in a decade type of quarterback, he's a once in a lifetime type of quarterback. Wentz is good and I think he'll have a bright future, but I think interceptions will be his achilles' heel just because he's a natural gunslinger.

Wentz looks like a rockstar this year, but let's not forget the teams he has faced. They haven't beaten a team with a winning record. Giants, Cardinals, Commanders and Chargers isn't really something you hang on the wall.

Dak hasn't beaten a team with A winning record.

Marino was vastly better than Aikman and it got him nothing.

Romo was always better than Eli, and it got us nothing.

It's all about the hardware and Dak seems like a better captain than any of the other three listed.

Dak hasn't beaten a team with A winning record.

He did last year. Multiple times. (Packers, Eagles, Steelers, Ravens, Commanders, Vikings, Buccaneers, Lions).

This year, Wentz and the Eagles are 4-1. They've beaten the 0-5 Giants, 2-2 Commanders, 1-4 Chargers, and 2-3 Cardinals.

Let's check back at the end of the year for a clearer picture.

I was a Watson skeptic (and also a Texans hater) but the guy is the best out of all of them. Considering how much younger/inexperienced he is than the others, he is already playing at a high level.

Aside from being a bit faster as a runner, Watson is no better now than Dak was last year at this time. In fact, Dak was (and is) a far better pure passer. I have nothing against Watson, but it's been five games.

I'm staying on the Prescott train. And yes, a lot of that is bias.

Something tells me that Dak is going to get the full Romo treatment for the rest of his career by always being overlooked due to his draft status and being a Cowboy. They had no choice but to give him credit last year, but this year, unless he takes them to the playoffs, he'll be regarded as "okay" no matter how he performs in games.

Wentz is an elite talent. I've always said this and stand by it. Dak has been better up until this point though.

Even this past Sunday Dak was fantastic.

I've always believed Goff was the better QB, but we will see...also we werent ever going to get Wentz or Goff no matter how much we debate who is better...just be be fortunate that we have Dak instead of Lynch.

Totally disagree. Dan Marino lost many games to QB that were not better than him and he was always the best QB on the field.
