Thought he really struggled last night in pass pro. And that was with Zack lining up next to him. He needs to pick up the pace IMO

I went back and watched the first half focusing on him and Bell and he really wasn't bad. There were a couple of times when he got speed-rushed and had to push the defender past the pocket. Moore stepped up during those times, but he didn't necessarily have to because Collins still had control of his man. The one time he actually allowed his man to hit Moore, it appeared that he was expecting a chip from Keith Smith and Smith really didn't deliver one.

I'm not worried about him at this point. His strength and mobility makes up for most everything. It's not going to be pretty, but in the end he should be quite effective because his size and mobility makes up for his struggles with his hand technique. He tries to chuck everybody and mistimes the punch and gets caught reaching quite a bit. But he's so powerful that even when he mistimes the punch it can still send the defender reeling. And if the defender slips by him he has the quickness and mobility to at least get in the way. He needs to allow the defender to come into him and then use his upper body strength and his feet.

I have far bigger worries with our swing tackle, Cleary. He was just completely overmatched last night and with Tyron's back we simply cannot afford to have Cleary playing. I hope we sign for some experienced OT that gets caught on the chopping block.

Who cares??? if we are gonna gain 8 yards a whack running to his side...why throw??...the next dominate right tackle in the league....in a league that don't have many.

Yeah I was disappointed in Cleary. After he stepped in last year and was okay, I thought he'd make a push for a roster spot, especially with Greens issues.

But he was pretty bad last night.

He looks below average. Glad they paid him to be the 2nd highest paid RT (or is it highest) starting next year before he shows any progress.

He is already a better pass blocker than Free was last year. He needs time to get used to being a tackle again.

Is he?

I thought Collins struggled pass blocking at LG last year. Obviously run blocking is his strength.

What have you seen in his game so far that makes you think he’ll be better than Free right out of the gate?

Personally, I think it’s going to be a bit of a work in progress. I do think he has the <potential> to be very good at RT in the long run.

His short arms are a problem against good speed edge rushers.

Excellent in run blocking, but pass pro could be an issue. Heads up, Dak.

More worried about entire left side right now. Tyron's balky back means we will need a good back up and the LG spot is still up in air. Bell was hot garbage last night and Cooper has not looked that much better. Was it Cooper that got trucked on his keister on one play? Whoever it was, I thought the DT shoved a grenade in his pants because he looked like he was hit by a small explosive.

We have the best LT, the best center and the best guard in the game. Our line will be fine.

Broaddus is tweeting that he would prefer Green at RT with La'el moving back to LG.

And I'd prefer Deion Sanders and Darren Woodson in their primes but I live in reality so I'll settle for Anthony Brown and Jeff Heath.

Unreal anyone thought he was going to step in and dominate at RT - I don't think he will EVER be great at RT. I would much prefer him back at LG where his ceiling is higher.

By week one he will be better than Free has been in the last two years.

The Cowboys have much bigger concerns than ROT and Collins.

What have you seen that makes you believe that? I'm not taking the other side, just curious, because I haven't seen it.
