Both these prospects could be either trade back or trade up targets as I hear the Cowboys love both of them. If we do see a trade, there is a strong chance one of these two will be the selection. Which prospect would you want out of the two?

-Already wrote a post hoping the Cowboys stay away from Collins. Not to say he is going to be a bad player, just don't like his fit with the Cowboys.

-Think Moehrig on the other hand is an excellent fit for what Quinn wants with his Free Safety. Add in the position is 3-4 deep with a huge drop-off, this is the direction I hope they would take.

Still believe they stay in and make a pick at 10, but if either prospect is there at the start of day 2, you can bet the Cowboys will try to land one.

Moehrig...provides the added hope that they value the safety position after 20 years..lol

I think Pauline might be off on the Collins thing.

I’ve been wrong before though.

It's hard to link prospects this off-season, but Collins has received the most buzz from the Cowboys then any other Linebacker. Heard nothing linking them to Parsons or JOK. As I stated, don't think Collins is a good fit.

I haven’t heard anything on Parsons or JOK either.

I guess I just don’t believe Dallas would want Collins for Quinn’s defense. I just don’t see how he fits unless they’re looking at him as a pass rusher (LEO). He just isn’t a fit and I still don’t think that Dallas is ready to give up on Smith and LVE after a bad season playing in Nolan’s defense. Those two things together say not Collins.

I mean, I could be wrong but it all just doesn’t add up to me.

Having a hard time envisioning how a 265-270 LB fits into Quinn's scheme. Seem like a better fit for one of the 3-4 teams like NE or Pitt

I've heard they envision him in that strong-side, designated pass rusher role. Now is that the Leo in Quinn's D? My take on Lve is, they don't pick up his option, but resign him to a Sean Lee type of incentive type of deal. Jaylon's future hinges on his play this season.

SAM LB isn’t LEO... but it still is getting after the QB some of the time. More than the Mike and Will spots are for sure.

I can see him playing in that spot better than the other two but it will be essentially a part time player IMO because in sub packages the SAM will typically sit.

I don’t know, I just can’t see it.

Trade back and then take Moehrig

As usual we “prioritize “ FS a round too low. Meaning we don’t prioritize it

Moehrig will be gone between 20-25 because other teams understand the importance of a true FS

Moehrig for sure.

Collins fit is iffy. Moehrig is the exact player we want at a terribly important position in this defense.

Collins is more suited to play 3T than LB in today’s NFL.

Moehrig and it isn't close.

Normally I'd go with the closer to LOS guy, but this safety situation needs some decent capital thrown at it for a change.

I’m seeing rumblings out of DC that they will take Moehrig at 19 if they don’t land a QB

If we get Moehrig I will get my first Cowboys jersey since Romo.

I’m a TCU guy and LOVE watching him play. Every time the ball goes in the air there’s anticipation it’s going the other way.

I think the Cowboys like Collins more. But I also think they know Moehrig is more important to Quinns scheme. I think Moehrig is the more likely one to end up in Dallas

Collins is a finesse linebacker. Dont need any more of those. We need a thumper. Give me Moehrig over Collins.
