Yes. Nate said that was the dumbest thing he's ever seen!
The Line couldn't find a hint of a rhythm doing that.
They fought the good fight and I get the thought process, but I'm glad it's going to be Collins (the right decision) and Bernie is back to backing up.

Collins has 33 1/4" arm length, 34" is considered the minimum for OT. Zack Martin had same issue with 32 7/8" arm length. They are guards in the Cowboys system.

Or, LC plays well and they plug Leary back in when he's healthy--which, I think is a likely scenario.

Why in the world would they put Leary back in if LC plays well? Leary is a progress stopper. LC is the future. JJ didn't cry when he signed Leary. JJ, and the coaching staff, are pushing hard to get LC up to speed, and will give him every opportunity to lock down the position. LC ceiling is higher than Leary's, and they want him on the field now.

And then, of course, you have the who gives a bleep? What is this emotional connection to players? Why do people care about his future in another NFL city? The best players play. If the Cowboys decide to keep Collins at the expense of Leary (doesn't have to be that way since Collins is the best RT on the roster today) then I'll hope that Leary goes on to complete failure on another team. I hope his career ends in embarrassing fashion. Because it'll mean our front office made the right decision and another team isn't benefiting from one of our castoffs.

It's about the logo and laundry not Ronald Leary or any other player.

:lmao::lmao:

Not a surprise at all, Leary is still limited and Bernie sucks at OG.

Leary is the second best guard on this team. If he is healthy then back to the bench Mr . Collins.
As of now Leary is the superior player.

Don't understand the obsession with replacing Leary.

I was on that band wagon until last week......Collins scaares me now...after breaking down that game tape. Kid pulled the wrong way on a play...How does that happen? Failed to get to the 2nd level multiple times. I'm starting to think LG is turning into a problem spot. Hopefully someone steps up. Haven't been real impressed w/ anybodsy so far.

Well, I'd rather move Collins to RT to replace the mediocre Doug Free and keep Leary but if it has to be G for Collins, he's a much better talent. It's not even close.

I have an obsession with upgrading the roster wherever and whenever we can.

If you think Collins is going to look any better at RT than Doug Free, you haven't been paying attention.

It is definitely possible that Collins could play RT next year. Flozell played OG his first year in the NFL.

They want to keep Collins at one position and let him learn. He has been a little slow learning to play in the NFL but was still decent last week because of his overwhelming physical abilities.

Collins wouldn't have to do much to be better than Doug Free. It is a very low bar of achievement. There was a play in the Eagles game where I thought RJ Dill was playing RT because the pass rusher blew past Free without being touched much like Gregory did to Dill in training camp.

Leary will be get paid by a team even if he loses his starting job, theres enough film to prove hes a good player

Hopefully, Leary comes back and is great the remainder of this year. Then the Cowboys can give him a 2nd round tender and some team will give up a 2nd round pick to sign him away.

Let Collins play and learn and grow. Leary will not be back next year !!!

Leary is a restricted Free Agent. The Cowboys are doubtful to just let him go with no compensation. I expect them to give him a 2nd round tender.

Feel bad for Leary. He'd start I'd ready. But this is how you lose a job. But this also a business.

Well, we knew the job would eventually be Collins. Now, he gets the chance to gel with the rest of the line until Leary gets back.

I think Leary will resume his starting position, but this is just a preview of what the line will look like next year when Leary is likely gone. (I'd tag him as a restricted free agent and then trade him if I got a great offer.)
