I really hope the Cowboys don't pick the worst QB draft in years to try and finally draft Romos replacement. Next year should be significantly better and Romo is here for at least 3 more years anyways. Draft one next year early. Then he has 2 years to develop and potentially 2 years to play on a rookie deal to show if he's worth keeping. If you draft one this year, you might, might get 1 year to see what he is on the field before having to decide whether to pay him or move on.

I see what your saying but that's plenty of time to make a decision.

It seems to.me they intend to. Though maybe the new strategy is to look into the QB every year in case one falls

Former Colorado State quarterback Garrett Grayson has a workout scheduled with the Dallas Cowboys this week, per to Matt L. Stephens, of The Coloradoan.

Grayson told the Coloradoan that he has workouts this week with the St. Louis Rams and Dallas Cowboys. He'll follow those visits up with a trip to Chicago on April 24 and will wrap up his private sessions in front of the New York Jets on April 27.

Grayson has also completed workouts for the Chargers and Dolphins, and the Eagles are rumored to be interested in him.

At 6-2, 213 lbs., Grayson excelled for the Rams during his four-year career. In his senior season, he threw for 4,006 yards and 32 touchdowns to just seven interceptions. Here's what NFL draft analyst Lance Zierlein had to say about the QB's strengths:

Tremendous deep-ball touch and accuracy this season. Puts air under the ball and feathers throw into consistently catchable spots for receivers. Gets feet set and uses lower body and proper weight transfer to drive the ball to his target with zip. Works to square shoulders to throw when outside of the pocket. Scouts love his toughness and improved poise in the pocket. Willing to face down oncoming rusher and take hit in order to deliver the pass. Shows confidence to challenge safeties and will attack press-man cornerbacks over the top. Production improved each season as starter. Has worked under center, in pistol and out of shotgun.

Watch Grayson throw for scouts at his pro day in the video embedded below:
