If Brady Quinn is a heisman candidate, this FRESHMAN should be in New York with him and get votes over him.preacher238;1139547 said:Is anybody else impressed with how well Colt McCoy, UT's freshman QB is playing? This kid is impressive!!!

Only partially right. He broke Vince Young & Chris Simms season TD record at Texas.Da Hammer;1139562 said:as a huge Texas fan it has been fun watching him get better every game and today i believe he broke Vince Young's record for TD's IN A SEASON!!!!!!! He's gonna be something next year and if he keeps improving he will join Young as the next texas QB in the NFL in a couple years. He deserves to go to NY for the heismann presentation as a finalist

It'll be interesting to see if he plays as well next year.
Sometimes, a freshman is too naive to be phased by the pressure or listen to their own hype. If he keeps his head and the same attitude he has now, he is going to set a ton of records in the next few years.

He isnt in Quinns class as far as blind media love, but as a QB he is just as good
ghst187;1139666 said:that's just plain silly.
Quinn gets media love because he is far and away the best, most complete, most mature QB in the country that is almost single-handedly making a inferior talented team a top 10.
McCoy could end up having a better college career, maybe even oneday be a better QB, but he's another season from becoming close to as mature back there as Quinn is now.
Plus, I would bet a ton of money that Quinn is running a vastly more complex offense than McCoy is.
Don't think for a minute that I'm insulting McCoy or that I'm a ND fan, I'm neither. But Quinn is clearly a superior QB right now and all season this year.
PS, The Big 12 is also one of the worst conferences in the country this year

Quinn isnt the best QB in the nation because NBC claims he is, and he clearly is NOT head and shoulders above other college players.
