i found this on a sports show, the colts are going to have a logo on their practice jerseys for more revenue, like nike, etc, cowboys are thinking about it.

my question to you, should the cowboys do that, if it holds your ticket prices down?

By all means. I can see it now. Whataburger! Or, Taco Bell.

Seriously though, I can see Cisco or Gatorade.

Do it. It's practice. Just keep it off the uniforms and field during the games.

Uh, what makes you think it would have any effect on ticket prices? The idea is to get MORE revenue. And I haven't heard that Jerruh's having trouble selling tickets at the current prices...

Was talking to Marty B and he thinks the brothers on the team should have Popeyes chicken logos.

As long as it's just practice, I have no issue with it. Hell, if it would bring ticket prices down, I'd be for it on their game uniforms. I'm probably alone in that thinking though.

This would downgrade the quality of the NFL. What's next, teams abandon their own logos altogether and take on the logos of corporations? Goodbye Dallas Cowboys, hello Bank of America Cowboys. STUPID!

they were talking about it during a sports talk show; and how the colts would wear the logos during preseason games, and practice, something like that. I just caught the tail end of the conversation.

But they talked about how the teams could get more revenue from wearing logos during preseason, and what would you fans think about that?

So, thats why im asking. They went on to imply this could keep down ticket prices possibly down somewhat, etc. So, im just asking what your opinion is.

I don't go to games, never have, never will(maybe one some day in the new stadium) so i don't care but i'm OK with teams doing what they can to raise cash.

I just don't want it to get to the level of soccer. You can't even tell what a team is unless you're really familiar with them or the sponsor.

BIG sponsor logo........tiny team logo. ICK! :ralph:

Who cares? It is practice and preseason.. if they start doing it during the regular season, alright, then I'm against that.. but putting it on practice and preseason jerseys?

If you care about that, well.. you have problems.

No. Never on game jerseys. I think it's something that really hurts soccer, and I want nothing to do with it in the NFL. Unfortunately, I think its inevitable in the states in the NFL, NHL, and NBA.

These ads are like kudzu.

Plant some on the practice field and within 10 years it'll creep onto the playing field.
