Chris Cooley-TE- Commanders Nov. 18 - 4:11 pm et

Chris Cooley will see another doctor about his surgically repaired ankle next Monday.

Cooley wasn't at the Commanders' practice facility Wednesday, and the team still hasn't given a time frame for him to return. Consider him out for Week 11 against Dallas and a big long shot to face the Eagles the following Sunday.

Clinton Portis-RB- Commanders Nov. 18 - 4:08 pm et

Commanders coach Jim Zorn deemed Clinton Portis (concussion) "very doubtful" for Week 11 against Dallas.

Zorn isn't ruling Portis out yet, but he isn't going to play. Portis is still experiencing blurriness, and Zorn admits he'll be "very cautious" with his $51 million running back even when Portis receives medical clearance.

3:18 pm Commanders coach Jim Zorn said RB Clinton Portis is doubtful for Sunday. Portis is still experiencing some blurriness from a concussion suffered almost two weeks ago.

3:13 pm Commanders coach Jim Zorn on DT Albert Haynesworth's ankle injury: "He is going to do everything possible to play Sunday. It will be a weekend decision whether he plays."

2:53 pm During Dallas coach Wade Phillips' conference call with the Washington media, he expressed a concern with some of the Commanders reserves, "They are breathing new life into the team. You are always concerned when dealing with hungry reserves."

2:44 pm CB Carlos Rogers was benched early in last Sunday's game against Denver. Still no word whether Rogers has lost his starting job. Commanders coach Jim Zorn will likely wait until Friday to announce who will start opposite CB DeAngelo Hall.
2:26 pm The Commanders pumped a little life back into their playoff hopes last Sunday. Although all remaining games are must wins, none is more important than the game Sunday. A victory over Dallas would pull the Commanders within two games of first place.

2:22 pm RB Clinton Portis and DT Albert Haynesworth were not on the field during warmups. OL Mike Williams was dressed and on the field for warmups.
1:34 pm Dallas week is always a big one in Washington. From 1997-2004, the Cowboys dominated the Commanders by winning 14 of 15 games. The rivalry had lost a little bit of its luster. Things have changed since. The Commanders have won five of the past eight meetings.

1:02 pm QB Jason Campbell on playing in Dallas' new stadium: "I am looking forward to it. You hear so much about it. I'm sure we all will take notice prior to the game. Once the game starts we won't give it another thought."
1:00 pm "I am a bit sore today. But I feel better than I did last week at this time." - RB Ladell Betts on playing his first full game of the season as a starter.

12:51 pm RB Quinton Ganther on his pass blocking and the Commanders' reserves: "I take pride in everything I do as an NFL player. If they ask me to block, I'll block to the best of my ability. We (reserve players) are trying to gain their trust, so we have to perform."
11:48 am P Hunter Smith was named NFC special teams player of the week. Smith's 35-yard touchdown pass to Mike Sellers tied the game with Denver at 14, allowing the Commanders to capture momentum in a tight game.

Another perfect example of "Commander logic"...!

:laugh2: And the fans think the same way. No wonder that team is in such a shambles. They don't know if they are coming or going, upside down or rightside up, right from left...

I pity the poor fools...
