We're going to be real good next year.

It's becoming clear that this year is nearly a lost cause (5 in a row and we probably still won't go!!), however you can not have asked for a better learning year for Campbell.

Before you **** all over of the post, remember the kid fought back for a 302 yard 2nd half. These close games SUCK. There is no doubt about that. However, these are the kind of games that will make Jason go from the green rookie, to the savvy vet in the 2008 season.

Here's to more games that throw Jason curveballs this year, because that will make us that much stronger next year.

Jason shows promise. There is no shame in having a rebuilding year after a QB change.

None at all.

I don't care how many yards Campbell has thrown, the INTs late in 4th quarter in red zone or close to red zone is inexcuseable, he simply choked, again.

still can't get over the fact that it took 49 attempts to barely cross the 300-yard passing threshold

THE stat lives-- Campbell now has 9 games as a starter where he's thrown over 30 passes, and the Skins are 0-9 in those games...

Maybe Gibbs isn't QUITE as dumb as Skins fans have been telling us this season... maybe he had a really good reason for calling such ultra-conservative games... maybe that reason is named Jason Campbell...

What's the stat for the number of games where Jason Campbell has thrown at least 30 passes, lost, and then cried about it in the locker room after the game? I know of at least once that it happened.

BFD, Romo cried in the locker room after the Seahawks playoff game last year too... I have no problem with a player wanting to win so badly that he gets emotional after a tough loss...

If we've learned anything the last 24 hours, it's that sometimes, tears are justified in a locker room... I'm sure many will be shed in the Skins' locker room over these next few days...

Usually I would love to join in on the Commander bashing ...... but it would not feel right today.

Count me in. And I normally live for that stuff.

I just don't have it in me though. Probably won't until next year.

Hey, my post was before the death of ST was announced, so Skins bashing at that point was fair game. No credit for getting sanctimonious after the fact.

We can take up the arguments for and against crying in football at a later time, though.
