He's kind of right. Maybe it comes with the job for him to sit there and take abuse from minimum wage counter-jockeys, but he doesn't have to like it. Booing your own team at home during a victory is about as low as it gets for a fan. And we all know from personal experience how much respect posters give to players from their favorite teams safely behind the anonymity of a message board. So the guy doesn't like wannabe's and gangstaz who complain and don't really even understand what they're complaining about? I don't like them either.

Now, he might end up getting himself cut for exercising the prerogative of speaking his mind, but that's his choice. To get mad at the guy for saying that stupid people behave stupidly doesn't really make that much sense, though.

it really doesn't matter how wrong the fans where for booing, they're the once who pay to see them play without the fans this guy doesn't get to live his dream. His salary comes from fans without them there's a good chance he's exactly what he's making fun of his fans for being. It's classless and ignorant beyond words for a pro athlete to insult his fans no matter how annoying those fans may be

Fair enough. He's generalizing, and it's arrogant. Still, if I'm a player sitting through the boos, or if I were stupid enough to visit a fan site after a close victory to watch them all overreact, I could see myself spouting off at them, too. Generally speaking, fans don't understand enough about what's going on in games to legitimately complain, and insulting players for their performance or abilities is pretty common. Publicly taking shots at them for doing it, even by using sweeping generalizations, is still cooler than them doing it to you anonymously.

it's called growing beer balls lol

but players still need to understand that fans are passionate, esp. those that pay alot of money and players' salaries to see them up close

they kind of expect more than what sometimes teams put out on the field, and voice their displeasure about it

not defending them, but it is what it is

As if the country needed another excuse to despise greedy, spoiled, privileged athletes...

According to Dan Steinberg of the Washington Post, Commanders rookie linebacker Robert Henson was extraordinarily perturbed by the loud booing directed at his team during an ugly 9-7 victory over the hapless Rams on Sunday. Therefore, he let loose with this Twitter update:

Can we all come together in our hatred of the Commanders once again? :laugh2:

What a clown.

I'd like to see them boycott the 'skins for a couple of years and then see him get cut so he could begin his hamburger flippin' career right with'em.
:laugh2:
Welcome to da buzzsaw buddy!!!

Seriously, if Danny gets enough grief over this I can see him very easily paving Henson's road to the real world and at minimum wage.
At the very least, Henson's gonna get a tongue lashing from the front office and I bet he already regrets saying what he did, not because he is contrite but because he misjudged the public's potential ire.

Stay tuned.
