You kinda made the argument for the hype yourself there lol...but to clarify:
A 6' 4" impressive athlete who runs a 4.38 converts to a different position only 2 years ago has already become one of the more dangerous receiving weapons in the league, and did this on a team with damn near literally no QB help (a rotating circus of bad-to-mediocre QB play all season), and did this being the focus of every defense he went up against (since he was the only real receiving threat as you alluded to), which makes it harder to succeed, not easier.
But he has to do it more than for one year, especially since he has basically zero college experience at the position. I'm sure it's one reason he wasn't able to get some huge payday this offseason. Still, he's an intriguing, incredibly athletic WR with great measurables who should only improve the more experience and comfortable he gets at the position. I'm hoping he, Doctson and Reed turn into red zone monsters.
I actually like Pryor and the deal he got. But I like it based on what he can become not what he is. Like you said I just have to see it for one more year.
